The Weeknd & Daft Punk - Starboy (Kygo Remix)

Swedish producer Claes Rosen first appeared on Spring Tube in January of this year with his remix of B-Max's 'My Angel'. 

Now as 2011 draws to a close Claes is back on Spring Tube for his first single for the label. 'Into The Bloom' comes with remixes from: Adam Byrd, Ricky Inch, Luiz B, Nicolas Agudelo and Elvin Ong. Claes is of course much loved for his unique ability to craft spine tingling, classy melodies and he's done so again on 'Into The Bloom'. It's a wonderfully light-hearted journey into melodic house with some of the warmest pads and gorgeous bells that you'll hear all this year. Beautifully blissed out stuff from Claes! Hungarian producer Adam Byrd brings Claes' gorgeous theme a bit closer to the dance floor with a mid tempo house interpretation that's silky smooth and incredibly funky all at once. Columbian producer Nicolas Agudelo makes his Spring Tube debut after a couple of appearances on Spring Tube's sister Round Triangle imprint. Nicholas brings 'Into The Bloom' straight to the dance floor with a tight punchy groove glorious beachside vibe. Brazilian producer Luiz B who is well known for his outstanding productions on Silk provides the next remix and he provides a mid tempo electronic house version with some amazing edits and an undeniable groove. Estonian producer Ricky Inch has been crafting some of the best melodic house records over the last several years for labels like Brown Eyed Boyz, Nellie and Cabrio. For his debut on Spring Tube Ricky has come up with one of his best productions all year. His drummy groove bounces with a vibrant energy as the bass stabs play off each other perfectly. The melodic hooks are seriously deadly and create an unparallelled groove when combined with the sweeping vocal pads and modulating synths. Amazing stuff from Ricky. Closing the package out is US producer Elvin Ong with an up tempo tech house version that uses some big sounds and soft melodic transitions. Top quality pack from Spring Tube.

If one is searching for a beacon of light in Lost Tribe Sound’s undeniably dark roster of releases this year, look no further.  The Green Kingdom’s new full-length album ’The North Wind and the Sun’ is like a cool breeze on a heated summer day.  Perhaps music this gentle feels out of place, even glutinous, given the currently harsh climate of the world, yet the truth may be that we need it now more than ever.  Music like this offers an opportunity to pause, to regain our center, to shift focus towards bettering our surroundings versus cursing them.

Of course, here at headquarters we pondered what would happen if Cottone abandoned the majority of his electronic equipment and limited his arsenal to nearly all acoustic instrumentation? It’s a similar question to the one we proposed to Cock & Swan back in the day, with their exceptional album ‘Stash’. Asking Cottone kindly, he obliged. After a number of months of trial and error TGK delivered us this experiment, titled 'The North Wind and The Sun.' We were floored, not only is the music still undeniably that of The Green Kingdom, it seems to exude a new sense of wonder and confidence. 

'The North Wind and the Sun' is the aural equivalent of the fondest, hazy memories gleamed from childhood days past. The melodies are playful and comforting like womb-filtered lullabies. While this new delivery may shock some familiar with TGK’s previous outings, Cottone seems quite comfortable with this new primarily acoustic set of sounds, inventing his own heart-warming brand of Americana. 

That said, the music pays respects to its roots, no doubt recalling the more pastoral, primitive works of William Ryan Fritch and Western Skies Motel, the woozy mechanically-inclined folk of Boards of Canada or Part Timer, the bright, sincere melodies of Amiina or mbira virtuoso Richard Crandell. Throughout the thirteen song album, 'The North Wind and the Sun,' The Green Kingdom gives us a very intimate look behind the curtain, one brimming with personality, a tender collection of homespun reveries one can tell has been building in Cottone’s mind for years. This is a rare and sublime new direction for TGK, one we hope he continues to develop upon for years to come.

Ukrainian producer Hexlogic is back on our imprint with a brand new 2-track EP, "Geany," featuring two captivating deep and progressive house tracks.

The title cut, "Geany," takes off with a steady beat and emotive synth stabs, while a soaring bassline lurks beneath. In the break, a mesmerizing arpeggio lead makes its entrance, which goes remarkably well with the already intriguing soundscape. "Leave Me Alone" features a lovely atmosphere, including brilliantly layered bassline notes, coupled with subtle vocal elements and background melodies.

Guy Mantzur's PlattenBank is back with an an amazing collaboration from Eitan Reiter & Muzarco, which includes vocals from Omri Klein. 

Eitan Reiter is from Israel and works with the likes of Sebastian Mulleart, as well as being one half of electronic pair LOUD. He makes tech, ambient, techno and plenty in between. Muzarco also hails from Israel and is know for his warm, colour sounds on labels like Lost & Found and many others. Here they link up to great effect. 

Oh Death's Dub , is a almost a 10 minute roller with subtle pads, icy hi hats and a soothing, hypnotic feel that really sinks you into a warm groove. Amazing heady stuff for the dancefloor.  Enjoy

As the summer winds to a close Spring Tube unleashes their final release for the season and 70th overall. The Russian duo August Rush return to the label following appearances on the first two Nu Breeds compilations. 'So Many Times' is their first single for Spring Tube and they've collaborated with Russian vocalist Natalie Voice for a melodic house anthem that comes with remixes from Luiz B and Blood Groove & Kikis.

The original mix is a housey affair that begins with amazingly warm bass stabs, twinkling keys and great vocal elements. The first drop introduces the full vocal which sounds fabulous with all the atmospheric and melodic elements working well around it. The tracks flows though some nice melodic peaks as the vocal weaves it's way in and out of the mix to tease the senses perfectly. A dub version has also been supplied for the less vocally inclined. The first remix comes from label regulars Blood Groove & Kikis who are making their 11th appearance on the label here. The Latvian duo delivers a housier club interpretation with a warm spacious groove, great use of the vocal parts and smooth melodic lines. Closing out the package is another Spring Tube regular Luiz B who is making his 9th overall appearance on the label here. The Brazilian producer has delivered a superb complement to the more housier interpretations with a funky electronica rework that comes with infectious bass hooks, live sounding drums, great vocal gates and electric guitars. Amazing work from Luis! A gorgeous melodic house package to finish off the summer release schedule on a high note for Spring Tube.
