With our second release of 2022, Masvingo Records welcomes Mark and Lucas to the label. As a production duo, these two have been creating some amazing soundscapes - and their track, titled Peace of Mind, is no exception. True to its name, Peace of Mind evokes a sense of tranquility and quietude, layering subtle shakers and atmospheric pads with gorgeous plucks. A beautiful melody begins to take shape as each new element unfurls over a gentle house beat, culminating in a masterful example of downtempo, melodic progressive house.

ANDREW LANG & BEE HUNTER - CARDBOARD BOX EP [PHW272]

Two extraordinary names on the scene is now returning to us, and been guys that’s been with us from our early days, so it is a welcome return as we are to see both Andrew Lang & Bee Hunter back on the label. Not only for their quality music being brought on to the label over the years, but they are also two people who very often has the same mindset as us. We are thrilled to bring on another melodic journey from the guys when they decided to collaborate once again. 

The opener, as well as the title track, “Cardboard Box” is a smooth melodic progressive house production, perfectly matched as a production for the European summer coming to us over here at the moment. Sun-drenched melodic arrangements and vocal additions to spice thing up is the guide through this production and we are getting a fantastic feel on it as always with these guys involved. 

Second out on the release is another original production from the guys, named as “Reversed”. This is a slightly more upbeat and energetic production, packed with evolving melodies, smooth progressions and layering that definitely is to take us places without a doubt. Some truly amazing synth riffs is to build tension and energy to us, and we believe this is another winner from both of them. 

We are as thrilled as ever to see these guys back on the label, let’s hope you feel the same as we do!

The first remix of this package brings back Slovak duo Mark & Lukas to the Synth family. There's a myth in the prog scene saying that every awesome track has a Mark & Lukas remix. We couldn't agree more, as they have churned another powerful production, one for the books.Prog wonder Musty, a scene favourite, is up next and his remix is warm as expected and putting an emphasis on the piano in the original's breakdown. Fire! Going the groovier path, Kamron Schrader delivers another knockout rendition, his remix having poise whilst being the most danceable but still true to sunset listening vibes. Rounding off this amazing release is our own Sodahl with his highly cinematic remix. Label mainstays and management team members Lumidelic & Skua have teamed up to create a lush pair of original tracks for their first collaborative release on Emergent Shores.

“Echoes of you” and “Hope for tomorrow” both push the dynamic duo’s trademark sounds, blending gorgeous melodies with emotive atmospherics and most of all, positive energy; creating a stunning foundation for this EP. However, that’s not all for this package! We are incredibly excited to welcome Progressive House royalty to our imprint in the form of Universal Solution, an artist who will need no introduction to fans of the genre through his releases on Anjuna Deep, Silk and his numerous live support slots with Above & Beyond. His remix of “Echoes of You” delivers exactly what you would expect: a deep, melodic, hypnotic groove layered with vocal stabs and electro synths all in his own ubiquitous style. Rounding off this package, we give a warm welcome back to Slovakia-based melody masters Mark & Lukas, whose remix of “Hope for tomorrow” is a true thing of beauty.
