There are fewer producers who symbolize the Coldharbour Recordings story better than Englishman Mike Foyle. Dabbling in various production styles under a number of aliases, it is his work under the name of Statica that has made him a much respected figure in the community, from 'Space Guitar' to 'Bittersweet Nightshade', and to its little brother, 'Deadly Nightshade', released at the beginning of 2010.

Now, Mike returns to light up Coldharbour's summer of 2010, with a double shot of melodic progressive trance grooves which have been much anticipated for many months.

Up first is 'Blossom', a track which soothed the mind of many when listening to Disc 1 of Markus Schulz's Las Vegas '10 compilation. The original subsequently became a fan favorite on Markus' Global DJ Broadcast radio show, with regular plays as the seasons changed from winter to spring.

On remix duties for 'Blossom' is one of the undoubted breakout talents of 2010, in the form of Russian Arty. Already a strong presence on Global DJ Broadcast playlists thanks to his plethora of originals and remixes, he makes his Coldharbour Recordings bow by giving 'Blossom' more of a big room feel, and was a highlight as Markus kicked off another Ibiza Summer Sessions season.

However, not to be overshadowed by 'Blossom', Mike also presents a beautiful and touching effort in the shape of 'Sundown', with a beautiful melody supplemented by some mesmerizing Japanese vocals. Many are declaring 'Sundown' as Mike's best work to date, and those sentiments are justified with one of the highlights of Coldharbour's summer releases.

With the sun splitting the trees, Mike Foyle's latest presentations are sure to provide a fitting soundtrack to a beautiful setting.

Delivering its latest installment of its revered Fragments series, Purified Records delivers Fragments XXII. Opening the compilation with Georgian producer Whiteout’s enchanting track ‘Echoes’, this cut ebbs and flows with intricate percussion and gentle melodies. Flowing into Danish artist Kiholm’s ‘Fighting for Something’ Ft. Ivy Marie, this creation achieves sonic bliss with soothing vocals across a delicate melodic house arrangement. Completing the series, Australian talent Juno Stone delivers ‘Alpine Ascent’. Rising into a lofty dimension, this carefully crafted piece reflects its title, reaching great heights with touching piano melodies and gradual synth work. 

The Fragments XXII displays an incredible shot of a Netrostoma jellyfish, captured by Daniel Nicholson. The Netrostoma jellyfish, also known as the crown jellyfish, is easily recognizable by its dome-shaped bell and delicate, trailing tentacles. They have a unique, crown-like structure on top of its bell, giving it a regal appearance. Additionally, some species of Netrostoma are bioluminescent, creating a mesmerizing light show underwater. Although not currently assessed for a specific conservation status by the IUCN, jellyfish populations face threats from climate change, pollution, and overfishing, which disrupt their natural habitats. Protecting marine environments is essential to maintaining the balance of ecosystems that support species like the Netrostoma jellyfish. 

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.

‘By Your Side’ was first released as part of Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation in July 2020, and has featured regularly on gardenstate’s ‘Inspirations Radio’ livestreams. 

Formed after a chance meeting between Marcus Schössow and American producer Matthew Felner in 2008, gardenstate have become a popular fixture on the label. 

Their Anjunabeats debut ‘Surreal’ was released in September 2020, receiving support from Above & Beyond, Tiësto, Gabriel & Dresden, Kryder and more. gardenstate’s breakbeat remix of Above & Beyond’s ‘No One On Earth’ was an early smash for the duo, and was played at A&B’s Group Therapy 400 celebrations.
