Hailing from the small county of East Lothian, Scotland, Duty Paid (aka Samuel Rattray) has risen through the ranks of the Soundcloud underground over the past 4 years, slowly but surely solidifying his name within the current electronic music stratosphere.

Elusive yet prolific, Duty Paid boasts an ever expanding catalog of self-releases and is by no means bound by genre or sound, seamlessly drawing the line between ghetto techno, hardgroove, jungle & beyond. With an ear for witty samples and a punk ethos, his sound bleeds originality, bringing a breath of fresh air amongst the commodities of modern dance music. 
His mixes reach into the weird pockets of electronic music, blending smutty vocals, percussive breaks and ambient soundscapes with the contemporary sounds of techno, ensuring a hefty delivery of “rapid-as-fuck grooves”.

With recent co-signs from the likes of SPFDJ, Patrick Mason & Partiboi69, Duty Paid is showing no signs of stopping any time soon, with the launch of his independent imprint, Neo-Fhoirfe, soon to be unveiled later this year.

Moving on to the fourth podcast of the Groove Revival series, we welcome Isa Tchesnokova from France, Montpellier.

Combining two jobs: model by day and DJ by night. In 2021, she began performing at events such as Silencio, Club 82, Recyclerie, Point Éphémère in Paris, and more recently at Sanctuary in Milan. The following year is marked by the start of a real adventure by crossing the doors of the legendary Rex Club, jumping behind the decks of No/Signal, BNK, La Relève and more recently those of the Purple Rave Festival. Her sets are characterized by punchy rhythms, driving basslines and atmospheric soundscapes, blending the colors of her childhood with her taste for sensual melodies.

Get ready for an hour of old school infused tunes, slapping beats and groovy combinations. Nothing better to get yourself for the the sunny days & the summer💃🏼
