All About Atmos

Behind the Ace Ventura project is Yoni Oshrat - one of Israels biggest talents in electronic music, with a career on top of the scene, stretching for over a decade.

Already from an early age Yoni was heavily influenced with music. He was born in a musical family with his father being a famous Israeli composer and song writer (for instance behind the Eurovision song "Halelujah"), and it was therefore no surprise that he went for a career in the sound-business; at first in the TV and movie-industry as a sound producer.

After discovering the blooming trance-scene in the beginning of the nineties, he started DJ'ing and teamed up with his friend DJ Goblin to form the psychedelic trance project Children Of The Doc, which later changed name to PSYSEX. Together they released 3 critically-acclaimed full length albums on HOMmega Productons, and played a big part in establishing Israel as one of the most important trance-countries on the globe.

After several years of intense touring, playing at some of the biggest parties and festivals worldwide, Yoni's taste moved more and more towards the slower, groovier side of music though, and from 2006 he took the decision to leave the Psysex project and form the two soloprojects SCHATSI and ACE VENTURA. With Schatsi he was quickly featured on labels like Hadshot and Mylo's Breastfed Recordings, and top DJ's like John Digweed played some of his material on numerous occasions. More attention was put into the Ace Ventura project though, and using a fusion of the hard, pumping dancefloor-oriented style from Psysex and the deeper, groovier influences of progressive trance, the Ace Ventura project became a big success, and in a matter of just a few releases, such as the now classic debut "Cardiac Arrest", he was already considered among the top producers on the progressive trance scene.

After appearing on releases on labels like Flow, Domo, Echoes, Blue Tunes, Spintwist, HOMmega and Iboga Records he finally released his debut solo album "Rebirth" in 2007. It featured 9 tracks, including collaborations with Liquid Soul, Lish and Intelabeam, and was without a doubt one of the biggest releases of the year, which also resulted in Ace Ventura winning the Psytrance category at the Beatport Music Awards in 2008.

About one year later the album was followed by a remix-album "Re:Boot", which contained two CD's with remixes by various progressive trance, house, electro house and techno artists - from Zen Mechanics, Sensient and Liquid Soul to Perfect Stranger, Fiord and Duca. This release, together with the release of "The Spark", the summer anthem remix of FREq's "Short Life Again" as well as a collaboration with the upcoming Israeli duo Quantize, also resulted in Ace Ventura winning the Psytrance category at the Beatport Music Awards in 2009, For the second year in a row. Despite playing all around the globe, at major events from Boom in Portugal, XXXPerience, Tribe and Universo Paralello in Brazil, Solstice in Japan, Glade in the UK to Indian Spirit, Tshitraka, Antaris and Full Moon in Germany, Yoni isn't resting on the laurels. Summer 2009 included the second chapter in his "New Order" compilation series on HOMmega Records. The first chapter from 2007 was a huge success, and this time around the tracks were deeper and more techno-oriented, and featured new material from artists like Ticon, Liquid Soul, Riktam & Bansi, Ido Ophir and Miki Litvak - all previously unreleased, and handpicked by Ace Ventura. Recently the Ace Ventura remix for the Weekend Heroes track 'Sidewinder' has hit the number 1 spot at the Beatport psytrance chart, as did his recent original track 'Baby Boom'. Other recent releases were the tracks 'Dark matter', 'Judo Chop', 'Dr.Lupo', 'Digital beings' and remixes for Rocky ('Paper cut'), Liquid Soul ('Devotion') & MUte ('Mechanism'). These days Ace is working on his second full-length album (the sequel to 2007's "Rebirth" and to the 2008 remix album "Re:Boot"), and on the debut album of his new project "Easy Riders" with Rocky. The new compilation by Easy riders, titled "Digital beings", is out now on Echoes records.

Currently released is the CONNECTED ep (Plusquam), with remixes by Liquid soul, symphonix and sunstryk, & also the 'IN BETWEEN' ep, a collaboration with Gaudium which is the first release on new the new sub-label of Iboga, IBoga trance. Up next is 'The Jolly roger' ep (Plusquam)- the new collaboration between Ace ventura and Captain Hook (aka Reshef from Quantize). The ep will include remixes by Zen mechanics and more to be announced. Stay tuned for new Ace Ventura and Easy Riders tracks on Iboga, Plusquam, Iono, Neurobiotics, Hadra, HOMmega and Echoes.

The man behind Silicon Sound is Johannes Regnier, born in France. The project dates back to 2002. He has great popularity among the psy scene for his production skills. He plays a powerful psy with hard basses and very well placed effects, great atmospheres, and melodies. His flows are uplifting, (remember Nexus 6?) but got that “morning prog” touch that many psy fans love.
Also producer under the names Even 11, Altitudes, Silicon Sound being his solo project.
Released on labels, such as Dragonfly, Spirit Zone, 3D Vision, Mind Control, Neurobiotic. Several remixes for well-known artists such as Talamasca, Tranan, Altom or Pixel.

Cosma is Avihen Livne, born 1979, from Kiryat Bialik near Haifa, Israel. Avihen started his musical way in the dark clubs of Haifa and the area, listening to new wave and more electronic stuff: Depech Mode, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Front 242 etc... "Then trance arrived" (95), he said, and put some consciousness between everybody's feet and brain. That affected him as well, and after years of parties he started to make music in 1998, as he has been into computers since he was very young, making music with the computer was natural to him.

He worked first with Benny Risher as Diablo. They released one Album in 1999 - 'Insufficient Memory'. In 2000 Avihen started to work under the name Cosma (suggested by DJ Jorg of SST). Avihen said a lot has changed since in the way he grasped music and in the making of it. Part of it was thanks to working together with other artists like Ido Ophir (Domestic) and Erez Aizen (Infected Mushroom) who helped him alot to develop and grow up. "It's very helpful to learn the way another mind operates and to see a different Wayof working ". He released quite a few tracks on compilations and in September 2001 Avihen released his debut solo album 'Simplicity'. This album was considered a milestone release in every aspect as Avihen found a new formula of Israeli trance that swept the world off its feet. He took the direction of trance into a broader perspective; "Simplicity" was characterized by a big clear quality sound cruising through a deeper vibe, taking in funky beat, progressive, electronics and ambience while sounding fresh all the way.

"If you were in the right mood, "Simplicity" could be a religious experience" (DJ magazine).

After the release of this album, Cosma became an established name and he performed live all around the globe. Avihen moved on to signing his new album, "Nonstop", to the Israeli label HOMmega. In this album he swept many influences which made 'Nonstop' a juicy and innovative journey into trance. Dark and pounding, not for lightweights, Cosma's music rocks your core without beating your brains out, all while keeping his famous trademark - his unique cosmic atmosphere.

Avihen was about to release his 2nd album, "Nonstop", on March 2003. Following the album's release, he was scheduled for a massive world tour and in order to prepare himself for this exciting stage of his musical career,he decided to take some time off in Goa, India. On February 10th, while driving back from Palulim beach to his hotel, he was involved in a motorcycle accident. He was hospitalized, but despite all medical efforts, he passed away.

He was a special person, a good friend and a talented musician who was loved by all. A person who had so much in him that he could give so much to others with his music that was played, heard and hailed worldwide.

His music is his legacy. Remember him forever!

Dado aka Frédéric Holyszewski repeatedly woos crowds and longtime fans to the beat of his new productions. Ranging from solo projects as Deedrah, as he is known in the circuit since 20 years now, or the most recent band formed little over 7 years ago, the KromeAngels, , he stands to face anywhere between 5 to 30 thousand eager fans on gig!!.
Once in the scene in the mid 90’s as a self-made rock band, Vision Quest, Dado met Christophe Drouillet with whom he would form the legendary group Transwave. In only 2 years they reached mind blowing success releasing 4 full length albums in total. The duo gained first hand experience selling and producing the entire CDs themselves from creating the sleeves, recording the albums, and even directing the first video for the international trance hit “Land of Freedom”. 
The band, more active than ever, performs relentlessly in front of music thirsty dance floors!!
All this experience eagerly propelled Dado to create his first ever studio in a Paris basement. In ’97 he created QuestionMark records to form a structure for French and international artists providing not only a label for promotion but also supporting a recording and production system. The first Deedrah album “Self-Oscillation” was released under this label, as well as 3 compilations “The Groovebox”, “ Anologique” and “Digitale”. The first album “Cypher” was released with the cooperation of TWISTED Rds. UK. Under QuestionMarks label Dado worked alongside artists like TSUYOSHI, SUZUKI, ASTRAL PROJECTION, TALAMASCA, GMS, TOTAL ECLIPSE and remixed for bands like THE DELTA, HALLUCINOGEN , ASTRIX ,KOXBOX and KILLING JOKE.
As if not enough, Dado created another alias “SYNTHETIC” first releasing the fantastic Metalgear with TWISTED Rds, then releasing the first album on SOLSTICE MUSIC. Synthetic being now the alias of choice for more techno 125 bpm oriented recordings ( on labels like IBZ recordings or Mago Mago RDS )
The Dado snowball picked up momentum growing like an avalanche and he, together with DMT NAKOV and SERGE SOUQUE of Total Eclipse came together to form GBU (The Good, The Bad & The Ugly ) still playing at the most important festivals of the techno scene: Sonica, The Glade Mother and Solstice Music Festival in Tokyo. Dado kept busy through contracts with Sony to compose the opening tune and sound effects of the ps2 game Grand Turismo3. Parts of his studio activitIes being nowadays designing loops and sounds for IOS applications ( alongside japanese company "total immersion" based in tokyo )
