Since Richie Hawtin played this track in his Boiler Room Set on Ibiza, many people have been asking about this Joyce Muniz collab. The track features fresh vocals by Bam (formerly known as MC Baby Bam) from the legendary 90ies hip-hop group The Jungle Bothers (Native Tongues/Zulu Nation). The beat is based around a sample from Kraftwerk's 'It's More Fun To Compute,' and for this version we've actually got full approval from Kraftwerk (yes - guess what). So we're happy to release it now. Hope you dig it too.

This April sees the return of Mexican imprint CVMR with its fourth release, this time bringing American artist Sleazy McQueen into the limelight with his ‘You Know How’ EP, featuring Century and Kasper Bjorke on remix duties.

North Carolina born Laurin Fedora, better known as Sleazy McQueen has been delivering high quality, tripped out funk laden house music for quite some time now, as well as maintaining a busy touring schedule which has taken him across the globe from Chicago and New York through to Tokyo and London, Fedora has seen his material released on reputable imprints like Siesta, Chillin Music and Eighth Dimension / Eight Tracks, the latter of which Fedora is now an employee at the labels head office.

Title track ‘You Know How’ kicks off the release, McQueen blends organic rhythms, smooth ethereal pads and stabbing bass hits skillfully alongside stuttering vocal snippets, so intricately programmed and finely selected the resultant record is incredibly unique and protruding. Following is ‘Bittersweet Freedom’, yet another stunning cut from McQueen, this time he ups the energy levels and storms straight in with an infectious groove from the get go, employing jangling percussive lines, hypnotic resonant synths and rumbling sub bass to create a powerful piece oozing with intensity and vehemence.

On the flip side of the release we have two reworks of title cut ‘You Know How’, the first of which comes from Century, stripping back the vibe to a dropped tempo, emotive workout fuelled be heavily reverberated piano chords, echoing vocal lines and a general chuggy, low-slung vibe throughout.

While Compost Black’s main man Kasper Bjorke finishes things off with his acid tinged interpretation, driven by a gritty saw-wave bass hook, rolling snare hits, wanderings arps and crunchy drums, a simply stunning piece of music as expected from the undeniably talented Copenhagen born producer.

After an extremely well-received collaboration EP (DANK004), http://soundcloud.com/enigmadubz & http://soundcloud.com/sub-antix have joined forces once again to bring you the 'Easy EP'. The release explores the deep and dark depths of dubstep, showcasing a wide variety of unique sounds.

The title track, 'Easy', is the first official collaborative production between the two producers, infusing melodical prowess with tantalising drum patterns to create a subtle, yet overwhelming bass music track.

'Gully Youth' by http://soundcloud.com/sub-antix is an 8-bit driven journey through Dubstep and Trap, with the main essence of both genres pulling their weight. The track features powerful bitcrushed bass and rhythmic hi-hat patterns throughout.

Track three is one not to sleep on. The powerful sub tears through the track, accompanied by some menacing mid range, aptly fitting of the track's title, 'Aliens'. http://soundcloud.com/enigmadubz does it again with his punchy drums and brilliant sample work likely to bring chills to the listener.

The final track, 'Premonition', is another collaboration filled with chest rattling bass and eerie melodic synths. A great ending to the EP, and a track which will likely be used at the beginning, middle and end of many mixes.

Krampfhaft – First Threshold

Having firmly made his mark on 2011 with the Spit Thunder 7” and Makin’ Magic EP, tracks that are still causing trouble in dances around the world, Dutch producer Krampfhaft returns to Rwina Records for a new release that blends cinematic sound design with jaw-dropping, hands in the air dancefloor ecstasy. 
The First Threshold is Krampfhaft’s statement of intent for 2012, uncompromising party music designed to make people move yet still hinting at something deeper. This a producer that’s still exploring the possibilities afforded by the music and as the intro states he’s quite capable of doing damage and sparing no one in the process. 
The EP opens with Marram. Setting the scene for what’s to follow, the track deftly balances epic and melancholic moods. It opens with sweeping strings, finger snaps and a dreamy melody before exploding into a grandiose drop with cascading drums and ominous synths. From this point on there’s no turning back. The core of the EP is found in Cork, Twin Prime and In A Dream, three high energy productions built firmly and unashamedly with the dancefloor in mind. Cork wastes no time and gets straight to the point with a rhythm built out of industrial parts and subtle interplays between percussive drums and euphoric melodies. This is a sonic whirlwind that sweeps across the dance with deadly precision. The same lethal precision informs Twin Prime: drums roll in a crescendo before unleashing sub heavy bass and more euphoric lead madness that mutates as the track progresses. If ever there was music to lose your mind to in the club this might just be it. In A Dream opens with loud panting breaths and looped eponymous vocal samples informing the listener that he’s “trapped in a dream” before a rush signals the arrival of heavy, claustrophobic drums and more catchy ecstatic lead melodies. As the melody morphs and plays a game of call and answer over the rhythm you might have just enough time to find a way out. Bones closes the EP, a gentler production that echoes the melancholy of Marram and comes across as a cleaner, brighter yet just as emotionally pulling production as the ones Clams Casino build his reputation on.
