The last time we left Akira a surveillance drone spotted her and opened fire, ripping her apart. Akira got so close, or so she thought... the emperor had been one step ahead this entire time and was preparing to invade China so he wasn't going to leave anything to chance. He had already sent his army to the border and was preparing for war... Weeks turned into months, cities were leveled and replaced with their own, no one was prepared for the tech the emperor had at his disposal. 

Akira was eventually found by the Kitsune Vigilance, they managed to recover part of her brain stem and her data chip. This would mean she could be rebuilt with her personality intact, but this was going to take time and that was something they didn't have, 6 months had already gone by... 

The Kitsune Vigilance had lost, all it took was a single Jikan generator for the emperor to take over the entirety of China and most of Russia in a single year. All cities were flattened and the people were displaced or converted into synthetic beings. Akira wasn't rebuilt in time which cost humanity dearly.

However... there was one thing that could fix everything and this was Akiras consciousness. With the help of her old dagger, she could cause enough temporal disturbance to use the generator for herself and go back to when she first appeared in Neo Osaka. This would take even more time to put the plan into action, but for once, time was irrelevant...

This track is a remix of a track by @lubro_official called Neptune's Arcade.

When the creators take time off they observe primitives at Neptune's Arcade, this is a mega entertainment complex orbiting a gas giant in the entry system. 

It was partly built by the creators as an experiment to see how the primitives would react upon reaching the space stage. It was initially prepared as a research station with incomplete data but it was eventually repurposed for profit instead.

Sol was getting more unstable as time went on, it had long since eaten Mercury and Venus… The sun was just longing to claim Earth… 

The survivors had been building two shuttles in “the hangar” for ten years, the material needed came from the surface which hindered progress massively. There had also been a rival faction gaining popularity whose ideology threatened humanity's escape plans. This group would target key assets halting heat shield production  

“Sir, Sol’s Gift has wiped out another facility taking some of our best scientists with it. How do you want us to proceed?”

Captain: “Take 20% of our central facility force and protect production with your life, we are so close to escaping now”

“Yes Sir!”

The next year was tough, Sol’s Gift wanted to keep everyone on Earth so they could be “reborn” The survivors knew time was now not on their side as the temperature was starting to be an issue… once the hangar was opened that would be it for the underground city, the remnants of a once vibrant and thriving civilization would be reduced to dust, all that would be left is Sol, a testament to the fragility of life in the universe.
