Inspired by his daily walks near historic Motown Records on Grand Blvd by Wayne State University, the track features meticulously arranged live horns performed by Tower of Power, lush strings from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and soulful guitars by T. Saunders. Detroit, famously known as Motor City because it was the hub of the automotive industry, gave birth to the legendary Motown label that forever changed American music. As noted by Melinda Shreve of Detroit News, this rare new-age Motown sound is a fresh evolution in the musical landscape. This project is not just a cover; it's a ground-up reconstruction of Michael Jackson’s 'Thriller' —featuring sounds that have never been previously recreated with such a level of precision. Not a single sound in this remake has been pulled or reused from the original multitrack: meticulous research and effort were put into recreating these sounds to the highest standard.

Using rare analog gear, gear emulations, drum machines, handcrafted Synclavier presets, live horns, and over four decades of collective sound design experience/research: this instrumental remake brings you as close to the original 1982 magic as technically and musically possible. Every synth patch, drum groove, and arrangement was analyzed, transcribed, and rebuilt in full detail using multitrack reference, as well as thorough amounts of research — with no use of shortcuts or presets from the shelf. This level of depth, due-diligence, and fidelity has never been reached before.
