Pour cet épisode de notre résidence, nous avons le plaisir d'inviter l'artiste berlinoise Synthtati pour une heure d'expérimentation musicale.
Après avoir participé au premier numéro d'Ex Magazine avec ses œuvres visuelles, nous sommes ravis de poursuivre notre découverte de l'imaginaire de cette artiste à travers son oeuvre sonore.

We're delighted to share with you Synthtati's set recorded during the transience curated night at Whole Festival last year. During these three hours, Synthtati takes us on an incredible journey through moments of dubby, glitchy percussions into surreal atmospheres and more playful moments all emerging from a bi-directional drone setting a pschedellic mood for the rest of the night. 

Synthtati has the following to say about their set : 
This soundscape was manifested for the ambient stage opening, invoking memories of an ecstatic atmosphere in the woods under the stars, flamboyant queer people celebrating life on a hot July night.
I had 3 hours to envision a spectrum of sonic nuances: refined elegance of distorted rhythms, cinematic nostalgia, mysterious organics, musique concrète, spoken word, ASMR whispers, and intricate textures.
Initiating with the ethereal resonance of the Shepard's tone as a countdown point, this mix collages 3 musical channels complimenting one anoher simultaneously and merging into one sonic tapestry resonating with me deeply.

Excited to share an excerpt from the live recording of Baron’s memorable debut closing set at Tresor this past May. On this very special occasion, Baron channelled high energies for the early-hours dancers fluidly blending classic Techno, IDM, and contemporary Bass music. Don't miss the chance to catch them again in Tresor this Saturday, August 10th.

Arthur Baron is a Berlin-based musician, DJ, and sound designer. As former employee at Hard Wax, they nourished an ever-growing passion for electronic dance music and developed a broad understanding of its primal forms and current states. Baron is also the co-founder of Moons, a musical initiative that echoes contemporary urban life by presenting ambient and experimental atmospheres, transitioning to more propulsive sounds through a series of events hosted at some of Berlin's finest underground venues, such as Kwia and Arkaoda.

Finding interest in resonating with the context of each occasion where they perform, Baron’s playing style evolves continuously, adapting to the qualities of each venue, making every appearance unexpected and unique.

Embracing uncertainty, we learn to live in the grey zones. Accepting change, we learn to live with discomfort. The only way out is through, or so they say.

For this episode of t r a n s i e n c e we have invited Moons co-founder, musician and sound designer, Baron to create a sonic journey to take you elsewhere for an extended moment. From deep bassy rumblings, to giggles and groans, through darker frequencies to patient piano chords, Baron's sonic offering is rich with imagery and affect. Moody, evocative and at moments intense, rest assured Baron lands us gently at the end with some sweet, reassuring whispers. Released on a Capricorn full moon in July, this episode offers ample opportunity to dive deep into ones emotional landscape the music supporting introspection and a letting go of all which no longer serves us.

Baron has the following to say about the mix: "This sonic narrative came together inspired by an idea of expressing an intimate, unspeakable and ever felt melancholy about my own identities in an inspiring and empowering way.

Embracing this theme and its inherent mysterious energy. Feeding it with curiosity, humour, raw aesthetics and humanity making it an abstract friend of the things that cannot be expressed and that one cannot explain themselves. A moment in time resonating with life as it is, as wonderful as unsettling.

This mix is dedicated to my dearest grandmother, Marie-Paule, one of the most inspiring and beautiful woman I have had the chance to have in my life."

Lots of vocals and theatrical twists you don't quite expect - David Goldberg comes up with an enthralling selection being the next Molten Moods Mix. It impressively shows his affinity for raw club music while at the same time making him stand out as a sophisticated collector of cutting edge electronica in general. This mix clearly is next level music entertainment and fortunately also marks the beginning of future collaboration between Molten Moods and David Goldberg. Last but not least please check his "Opto Indepth" EP on SVS Records; it is one of last years most overlooked and underrated records.
