Dreamworld is where the subconscious comes to life. 
Here, anything can happen and not everything makes sense, yet, nothing is without meaning. 

Celebrating Dante's Dreamworlds 4th year anniversary of inception, we gather in the Tiger's Den, a dimly lit loft above Queen St West, Toronto, filled with a pink neon glow from the rooms mascot and grand overseer perched above. 

Deep into the night we rode the pocket until I felt the time was right to bring us down gently into the subliminal space we had created through the evenings energy. 
Some time to let it all sink in and let the serpents swirl.

A live improvisation between myself and two amazing musician friends Matt and Chris, this is the recording. With all of its imperfections, absurdities, and magic included.

For the Maya the creation of the Earth, it is said to have been a deed of Huracán, the wind and sky god. The sky and earth connected, which left no space for any beings or vegetation to grow. In order to make space, a Ceiba tree was planted. The tree grew roots in all the levels of the underworld and its branches grew into the upper world. 

The tree trunk grew to leave space on earth for animals, plants, and humans. According to Maya belief, animals and plants were extant before humans. The gods were not satisfied with only the animals because they could not speak to honor them. From there, humans were made in order to honor the gods.

Uh la la...

Well that is what we call a killer podcast. Let me take a moment to write this intro in the best way possible, because you are about to enter a set of sound that I've been dreaming of for a while now.

Just Emma is this undeniable force that is taking over the world. I know, I see it happening. I started following the two a little over a year ago. I found them on one of my most adored nights in solitude. Losing yourself in music in the darkest of nights. No emails, no calls, nothing but music. I fell in love with them, their sound. The magical way of The Gardens is that we got connected at one point in time.

We are so grateful for all that happens. And as their sound is going to take them to the headlines soon.. We can enjoy this mindblowing podcast of Just Emma.

February's Fortune - Just Emma

Here is a cut from my recorded set from Sunday morning closing set at Incendia for Love Burn 2020. As most of you know by now, I am a big believer in playing music in the moment, for the moment, and the environment that I am in.

"Incendia is a mobile, modular artistic installation and interactive event space designed to create a unique and awe-inspiring experience for all those who enter. Mesmeric, immersive spaces melding the worlds of art, engineering, and science through the pursuit of enthralling fire and stage design." 

Every since I experienced Incendia at Burning Man 2019, I was immediately drawn to it. The concept, the design, the fire and more. I got on the decks around 2 AM and throughout my set, there was a fire spinning exhibition that took my breath away. More than a dozen incredible artists were showcasing their talents while I was playing. 

It goes without saying that it was an incredible honor to be able to share the gift of music with everyone at Incendia, and I am grateful for the opportunity. 

I hope you enjoy this set as much as I did.

Influences from Tulum, Ibiza and New York inspired him to his current style of Organic & Melodic House music with a touch of Deep House, Orient- and Afro-Tribal sounds.

syost’s journey began in his youth by playing guitar in a funk, blues and rock band. His creative flare opened him up to his second love of electronic music.
 
These two loves ignited an idea within, to mix electronic music with live instruments. This fusion enabled him to combine his creative passion for both styles.
 
syost attended the music producer Academy in Zurich and since finishing his school, he has been given free rein to explore his musical creativity, in which he mixes his guitar craft from earlier times with his electro tracks...
