This mix marks the 100th episode of our podcast project, and what a ride it has been! To celebrate this milestone it is our profound pleasure to present a set by a deadly duo: DJ Mell G and MCR-T. Both of them have already been featured on the podcast series individually, displaying their unique sound spanning multiple genres. Now they have joined forces for an epic hour of nonstop action. Recorded at our livestream in the Allianz-Tower, these two don't hold back, offering up some of the illest electro and ghetto-tech you've ever heard. This mix also features some of their own material, so keep your ears open and your body moving.

Soundcloud is an endless world of spectacular music + edits. It's also a dope ass community as I've met and made some great hawmmies, thanks to Soundcloud's user interface/experience. Whether I am exploring Soundcloud by myself and/or having a listening party with friends, it's always a splendid time. DJing for me is about sharing and celebrating music. So, I thought it would be fun to curate an event where like-minded lovers of the Soundcloud realm could come together and appreciate the vibes.

i s o u l a t i o n pt. 2

Spend enough time at (or listening to) The Lot Radio, and chances are all you'll find Gabrielle Kwarteng. Even though she lives in Berlin now, the American DJ wears New York on her sleeve, repping for the station that helped make her name (she won a Mixcloud award for "Best Eclectic Show" pretty early on). Sure, you could call her sound eclectic—she jumps from house to Afrobeat to Jersey club and beyond—but it seems like "intuitive" might be a better word. She has the taste of someone raised by musical parents on a diverse diet of albums, of someone who eats, breathes and sleeps records.

Buoyed by her success in the US, Kwarteng moved to Berlin in 2019, not too long before the pandemic. Like so many other up-and-coming DJs, her momentum almost stalled as a result. But here we are in 2022 and Kwarteng is more successful than ever, with a string of upcoming festival dates highlighting her wide, transatlantic appeal. Her RA Podcast is equally welcoming, with a taste for house music that feels perfectly pitched between the classic and the new. You can hear an old soul, but she also has cutting-edge tracks from the likes of NIkki Nair, and a gutsy, fantastic edit of "Can You Feel It?" by Tom Carruthers. The mix also reflects her recently getting back in touch with her roots, featuring smatterings of East Coast club music and ballroom, all wrapped up with an exquisite finishing touch courtesy of a long Moodymann play-out.

In 2020, Mell G dropped out of law studies to pursue music full-time and hasn't looked back since. For good reason too—she's far too busy for any potential regret. Over the past three years, the Hamburg-based artist launched JUICY GANG RECORDS, switched up her DJing style from ghettotech to electro, began touring and started producing. Her year-and-a-half old label is now a go-to source for brazen, bouncy club bangers and her refocused, electro-heavy sound has led to bookings alongside DJ Stingray, Pearson Sound and other heavy-hitters.

The rising star is certainly having a moment, yet it hasn't been all smooth sailing. These sudden career ascents can be tricky to navigate emotionally and her upcoming debut album ISSUES expresses some of the mental health struggles she's faced along the way.

Her RA Podcast is similarly personal. Moving from retro synthwave to acid-laced techno to UK bass before ending on funky electro, it embodies the core sounds that are near and dear to her. Loaded with lots of gritty low-end frequencies, it's a thrilling ride across contemporary club music that cements her status as an in-demand DJ.

Jana Falcon is a vinyl cutting engineer, DJ and producer based in Berlin.
I met Jana at one of my favorite nightclubs 'Sisyfus' She was playing some sick house tracks with some breaks in between which really fulfilled my dance ecstasy at Wintergarten. Her flawless mixing skills between vinyl and digital and her superb selection brings her to EVR today.

In this set you'll find some electro appetizers moving into some UK bass / rave house and grooving its way to the main course: "house". Finalizing with garage bangers and as desert a mix of the previous two courses.

Jana Falcon grew up in the 1990s with Euro Dance, UK Garage and 2 Step. The greater Frankfurt area was her home and became her safe harbour for many wild party nights. 
She moved from Frankfurt to Berlin around 2011 and very soon the first DJ gigs came up. As an alumni of Berlin's SAE institute it's not quite surprising she started producing, too. In 2016, after a long way to go with producing, mixing, mastering and especially facing up to the art of cutting Vinyl records, her first record was released on “Smile for a while.
Her DJ sets combine eclectic UK Garage and old school House tunes with modern, synth-driven House tunes, as well as deep & discoid stuff. Despite her broad influences she's a DJ personality with an instantly recognizable signature sound.
