RTE DISSIDENT is a duo of sisters, a significant part of whose musical path was written in the club environment of St. Petersburg. Now the duo is based in Moscow.
In 2019, the sisters became part of the Chilean community of Caustics musicians. In collaboration with them, they supervised the show Caustic People Mover on British radio 1020 and played a set on Rinse France. In RTE DISSIDENT music, temperamental, energetic electro and techno trends are preferred.

GAB MIX 049 sees Reykjavík-born and Berlin-based Jadzia step up to the controls with a deep dive through her expansive collection of electro! We first came across Jadzia’s music through her outrageous releases on RAIDERS’ “Queens Of Club: Night Shift” compilation and International Chromies Vol. 4! More recently, Jadzia has released music on Nasty Enterprises, Michigan-based none/such and Buenos Aires-based Dancefloor Impact Research. 

As well as this Jadzia has ran the incredible Sweaty Records since it’s inception in 2016. The label’s most recent record saw Volruptus and Jensen Interceptor collide to provide some of the stankiest electro we’ve heard in a while! 

It’s no surprise therefore that Jadzia’s GAB guest mix offers up 70 mins of GRITTY electro. Although Jadzia incorporates breaks and techno outings at points, her mix is firmly rooted in the unadulterated power of electro as well as its cosmic, intergalactic and amphibian tendencies.

Viikatory

Rounding up our anniversary week and curating episode 170 of the series is Belarus native Viikatory. She has gone through a meteoric rise over the last few years with her fresh electro sound, making appearances at parties like Boiler Room, 1-2-3-4 (Minsk), Mechta and recording mixes for powerhouses like Bubblebath, Lepton and Hypnotic Groove. 

But what really stood out to us are her exquisite production skills, racking up release after release with extreme precision while maintaining her versatility. 
Her discography already contains issues at labels like No Service, Your Character, her recent "Crasher Babe" on LAP Records and not to forget her appearances on Assembler Code & Jensen Interceptor's mighty International Chrome( with Maiden Voyage's "Something For D" showing a gentle side to her sound as well ). 

All and all we are absolutely hooked on her sound and energy and we strongly advice to keep a close eye on this one.

На этой неделе мы продолжаем Young Blood — рубрику с миксами от молодых и талантливых диджеев и продюсеров из России. 

Десятый микс для нас записал московский диджей Гоша Морозов, он же @goodboyfrosty. Артист является соучередителем лоу-файного хаус-лейбла FROUFROUFROU, коллекционирует винил и увлекается аналоговыми музыкальными инструментами.

В музыке Гоша любит энергичность, грув, мелодичные брейк-дауны и звучание исторических драм-машин вроде Roland TR-808 и TR-909. В миксе для нашего сообщества артист собрал бодрую селекцию из электро и брейкбита, своих собственных композиций и треков его коллег с лейбла.

Kamran’s journey into space was an assault on the senses: starting with a take-off from Tehran, the sounds of his ship mutated in reaction to the internal pressure rising as he cut through the sky and pierced our planet’s atmosphere. Keeping him grounded throughout all this was his father’s voice recordings in Farsi, which played around him during his ascension.

Now, not only is Kamran separated from his city and completely detached from the original homeland he was already estranged from, he is away from earth.

In his first moments above the planet, Kamran looks down on it, and it’s the unexpected things that begin to clutch at him: when he checks the clock, he realises time feels different. His first creative act in space is to remain connected to the now faraway concept of home by organising his first 24 hours in alignment with the lives below him, and he does it with his synthesisers and drum machine, items he hadn’t made the most of on earth.

He starts at Dawn, where he discovers the distance, despite being isolated, means he has the room to tap into himself further, and he rediscovers song making. His most passionate moment is reached at the rhythm of Noon. By Dusk, his collaboration with his musical tools is in a flow state, and he plays back to his early influences. When Midnight arrives, Kamran has grown comfortable with his new perspective; he transmits his latest sound creations back down to earth to see what the world will do with it.
