On JEAHMON! we continue with a release by @thirstyeyesmusic, an established DJ and producer that kicks off a new alias. Thirsty Eyes has been composing electronic music for more than a decade under many aliases. His long lasting DJ career has helped him detect every single vibration from the crowd in the clubs and hes already been able to transpose this energy to his music in the studio. Now he's ready to widen borders between House and Techno with his genre-fluid vision about club music. The debut of Thirsty Eyes will be split into two releases and starts with RATE GATE, a dark and hypnotic track that combines a continuos powerful bassline with a mystic lead and adds a lot of energy to the dance floor. The remix for the title track RATE GATE was done by inhouse artist SNYL and this one goes straight into our specific Indie Dance genre and shows the development of the artist, taking his powerful brand into a new dimension. Let's open the gates for the dancefloors on this planet.

About the release
Love Is What? What probably started as a not-so-serious question during a wild night out in Berlin soon found its resonance in the studio of the Mecklenburg-based producer duo Kollektiv Ost. As children of the early 80s and 90s, there was only one reasonable answer to this profoundly philosophical question for both of them. A 16th bass, the dusty emu synth and this legendary melody.

'From veteran producer Tom Hades comes his alias Sigvard, a project driving perfectly crafted techno in a diverse range of moods and tones. On his latest output ‘The Flowers Hundred’, an ever evolving style is nurtured through expressive use of hardware, complex structures and a focused energy. Released on Marco Bailey’s eclectic MATERIA imprint which continues to be a worldwide summit for cutting edge techno producers.

Sigvard delivers club-ready, experimental dance music that is uncovered across fifteen delicately crafted tracks with soundscapes of ambient and noise glowering above. The foundation of all tracks is married with an artists desire to create, combine and discover.

Many classical 90s electronic tropes are covered across the album; elements of trance on the spiralling ‘Attitudes’ and the hard-hitting ‘Judgement From An Idiot’, layer by layer built into an emotive and organic spectre for the ears. Pulsing and unstoppable rhythms are mixed into each track with psychedelic synth lines on ‘Rendezvous’ and ‘Preaching Eyes’ creating a disorientating and beautiful atmosphere.

The slow burner ‘Bonds Have Respect’ pays homage to Boards of Canada esque 90’s ambient, combined with a steady percussion and a glowing energy, whilst ‘Nightlife Miracles’ is a steadfast track with an unstoppable pulse and a trippy synth line. ‘The Flowers Hundred’ is a bold and passionate release celebrating Hades’ inspirations and innovations, a standout techno emblem.'

Ukrainian-born Alisa Filatova’s non-stop energy and passion flows through her relentless work rate in and out of the studio, making regular appearances at Off Sonar while managing Bolygo Records. For her next release, the DJ and producer drops her first EP on the label with four dynamic cuts co-produced with studio partner Adwer in the shape of ‘Acting Of Sounds’. Broken beats, jangling synths and pounding low ends kick off the journey with ‘Of Time And Space’ before brooding basslines, haunting vocals, and anthemic stabs carry deep techno cut ‘Acting Of Sounds’. Next, Adwer delivers his warped reshape of ‘Acting Of Sounds’, showcasing a pitched down, shadowy affair. To close, ‘Experiencing Silence’ harnesses chiming bells, chuggy tones, sweeping pads and heavy kicks in this cavernous production.

After a variety of EP's, the album and some exclusive NFT's released via the RCRDSHP platform, we're happy to show you the first of what will be four remix singles for Jaap Ligthart's debut album 'Itaka'. Stepping into the spotlight are Skenna and Jochem Hamerling, making this first remix single an all Dutch affair!

Skenna kicks things off with his infectious and driving remix of 'Kein Schluss'. Quite ironic that the album's closing track is actually the one we begin with, but I guess that's how we roll.. A proper dancefloor pleaser this one, genre defying and not easy to pigeonhole (so let's not do that, shall we?).

Up next we welcome Jochem Hamerling on remix duties for the song 'Swaying Trees'. Proper tribaliscious booty shaking deep house music right here, need we say more? A very strong remix with clever usage of the original melodic theme in the breaks, super effective!

'For our 37th Chapter, we warmly welcome Italian artist Andy Bros to the label with the 'Cuore' EP.

The package sees the Diynamic regular present his fresh and innovative sound on an EP that bridges the tech and deep dance realms with the worlds of jazz, funk and soul.

Title track 'Cuore' is a showstopper. Full of drive, tenderness and ultimately optimism, the piece tells a very personal story for the artist and affirms the power of keeping an open heart. 

Next, 'Rocky' offers something darker and deeper - an ode to a hero from the artist's youth. Huge, dramatic synth riffs are the order of the day, full of panache and flair.

Meanwhile, closer 'Sunny Day' is another stellar number, richly laden with choppy piano riffs on a bouncy tech groove. Once more, there remains a sense of positivity that all will be well in the end.

With three powerful original cuts, Andy Bros proves again that he is an eclectic and rounded artist with a tale to tell. Not afraid of experimenting and pushing things forward, he is a perfect fit for Chapter 24.'
