Bari-based talent Fedele’s Obscura Music label continues to go from strength to strength as a pioneering platform for avant-garde techno music with a leftfield twist. Following a string of poignant releases earlier in the year, the label returns in November with a generous serving of its undeniably unique sound palate provided by a carefully handpicked selection of celebrated electronic names.

Heading the bill, label boss Fedele is joined by a worthy cast of adversaries, including Damon Jee, Stephan Barnem, Works of Intent, Odd Oswald, VNTM, Rez Dorsia, Golden Virgo, Emitr, Juanito State, and Dustin Holtsberry.

Spanning thirteen tracks, The Sound Of Obscura takes you on a spirited journey through a myriad of different genre-loosened vibes. Whether it’s the marauding grittiness ‘Starfield’, the resonant darkness of ‘Healing’ or Works Of Intent’s ‘Limitless Leisure’ that spins you full of synth-rich electro-laced vocal goodness, the collectively pleasant lean away from mainstream techno and focus on sonic storytelling delivers a firm reminder of Fedele’s appeal and his artistic vision for Obscura.

Nestled between a freshly-squeezed Fedele cut, you’ll find a library of different tales. After a resoundingly successful first pack of Collecti remixes, Sharam is back with the second installment, and this time it's a Swiss double-header. First up is Zürich-based Animal Trainer, known for their deep and melodic take on techno, who reworked Sharam's 'Napoli' into an entirely new beast. The guys lifted the original's catchy acid riff and wove it into a complex tapestry of beautiful and ethereal melodies. Swirling synth leads and lush pads create a sonic atmosphere that transports listeners to another dimension, one where beauty and darkness coexist peacefully.
