Third extract taken from Tal Fussman's forthcoming debut full-length on the newly formed Survival Tactics, 'Move Your Hips' does exactly what's written on the tin.

Slicing off a jazzed-out belter of a tune, Fussman pulls out a force-field of FX-drenched hard-bop Rhodes, altered robotic vox and purebred Chicagoan shuffle to subjugate everything and everyone in its wake. Masterly hugging the bend between an avalanche of mad-hatter electro-acoustic chords tumbling and jolting in falsely chaotic style - think an AI-powered big band gone wild, and a retro-futuristic house churn that packs a serious punch, the Israeli-born, Berlin-based producer swings the pendulum with strapping impact throughout. A buoyant piece of roaring twenties-laced athletics for the now and tomorrows, which will satisfyingly quench some of the thirst for new Fussman material, en route to the big drop later this year.

Italian duo Modular Project align their analogue gear and do what they do best in modernising nostalgic melodies and propelling them with punchy drums. After releases on Permanent Vacation, their own Nothing Is Real imprint, Motordiscs, hfn music and an edit for Jennifer Cardini’s Dischi Autunno, Modular Project release their debut on Exploited Club.

'It's Time' renders a vision of 90s hedonism as pupil-widening sequences bind with ecstatic pianos in a warm, rushing embrace. Thick, accurate drums give the track pace and power with claps and hats flickering overhead like strobes through fog. 

'Sex!' then rolls out a neat and classy groove as the sturdy bones of a Disco beat thump under a snake-hip bass, serrated acid line and bold, unfiltered piano chords.

'Echosphere' then dims the lights as swooning vocals (by Lattedoro) and glacial stabs are draped over snappy, broken drums. Modular manipulation drives the growth of the track as it blooms across an Intergalactic trip rounding off a varied but cogent record that speaks to the core of Exploited's ethos.

Defining his sound as ‘romantic and burlesque’, he takes his cues from electroclash, ‘80s electro and synth pop and Detroit techno.

Ripe drums land squarely like a boxer's jabs while a barbed bass drives in lockstep with caustic blobs of acid. An anthemic piano line bursts in with expressive flair, rolling through chordal shifts while snare fills maintain a sense of pace and urgency.

Get Physical releases DJ T. 's 2005 classic "Funk On You" in three new interpretations. Alongside mixes from two of DJ T.'s favourite producers, there is also one from the label co-founder himself.

First remixer Emanuel Satie is co-founder of the vital Scenarios label with Maga, Sean Doron and Tim Engelhardt. Along with his solo imprint Solaris, it is defining the sound of the melodic house world with finely crafted music featuring meticulous melodies that regularly find their way to the top of the Beatport charts, much like his own always sophisticated productions. Here, he flips the classic into a strident cosmic disco chugger. The arps are bright and sugary, while hip-swinging claps and playful vocals are topped oﬀ with joyous piano chords that will raise the roof.

Whitesquare is a versatile talent with releases on top labels such as Life and Death, Permanent Vacation, Higher Ground and Kompakt. His diverse sound is always underpinned by an infectious groove, awakening memories of dance music styles from the past. That’s exactly what he does here with his superb mix of ‘Funk on You’. His wonderful rework is a colourful and freewheeling percussive exploration with mid-tempo drums and funky hooks. Acid-tinged synths arrive to take things to the next level while astral melodies explode like fireworks.

Underground mainstay DJ T. is an ever-green artist who has explored many diﬀerent facets of indie dance, house, disco and tech over a decades-long career. His 2025 Re-Shape ups the ante with uplifting synths and melodies, all bringing a retro 80s touch to a driving disco-tech beat. The still magical original is also included with its fat and funky bass and intergalactic melodies.

Radio Slave’s 2008 ‘Grindhouse’ feat. Danton Eeprom has a new mix from Italy’s Vaert and shifts from its original home on Rekids to Techno-orientated oﬀshoot RSPX in late February. Having previously been remixed by Danton Eeprom, Len Faki, Nic Fanciuli, Obscure Shape & SHDW, Slam, and notably Dubfire, who provided an iconic interpretation, the 2025 release emerges with a distinctly Melodic Techno lean.

Seventeen years on from its original drop, Afterlife and HABITAT artist Vaert’s remix of Radio Slave’s ‘Grindhouse’ feat. Danton Eeprom supersizes each element and roughens the beat by crunching its bassline with heavy distortion. Reminiscent of Dubfire’s hugely influential ‘Terror Planet’ mix of ‘Grindhouse’, Vaert briefly oﬀsets the track’s rampaging bass with lush pads before the original’s mind-altering synths blow the roof oﬀ, Eeprom’s vocal sample oﬀering something to hold onto throughout this dancefloor-primed cut.

Zurich-born, New York-based DJ Tony y Not is best known for her free-spirited sets, seamlessly weaving together techy acid, progressive, dark disco, and heart-opening indie.
