Shlomi Aber makes his Saved debut with a brand new remix package of a classic. ‘Tel Aviv Garden’ was originally released back in 2006, and has seen numerous mixes over the years; Saved are proud to bring you the newest and latest mixes from Shlomi himself and Saved label boss, Nic Fanciulli.

First up is Shlomi Aber’s 2006 Twisted Mix; a subtle take on the original, Shlomi weaves the hypnotic melodies into a dance-floor friendly version combining thumping drums and insatiable drops to great effect. In true Aber- style, the remix is brilliantly executed with a gentle nod to the original.

Over on the b-side we have Saved label-head Nic Fanciulli’s version. Fresh off the back of his huge remix for Hot Natured - Benediction, Fanciulli continues to impress with his remixing abilities and this stripped back version. Subtly changing the arrangement, and adding a set of powerful drums, the head honcho has delicately made Shlomi’s classic his own specifically with the dancefloor in mind.

Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. Just ahead of Selador Recordings debut at the legendary Watergate Club in Berlin, we deliver an EP from one of the DJs who appears on the bill that night, the burgeoning talent that is Justin Massei. 
Justin has already appeared twice on the label with contributions on both of our Showcase Compilations but now here he is in all his fully fledged glory with an EP that truly puts his flag in the sand. 

Originally hailing from the US but now residing in Berlin, Mr Massei makes a strong stament of intent with a couple of raw tech house missives built specifically for those hallowed Berlin dance floors.

The lead track is an intense affair, all brooding beats and fervent swagger. Deep, dark and dirty. As is the other original production on offer, ‘The Creator’. Again, it’s all about the bottom end. Pure, undiluted dark energy. 

Remixes this time around come from label boss Dave Seaman who turns in a large slab of peak time Techno. The driving bass and rattling percussion power this interpretation, punctuated by some wonky arp work that surges and cascades through the breakdowns. Big room business. 

And completing the package, a producer who has lit up 2015 so far with an impressive glut of releases for the likes of Noir, Suara, Material and Go Deeva… Third Son. The Welsh wizard retains all the original’s authentic passion but adds a pulsating baseline to proceedings to provide a fuller production. Formidable stuff. 

A dispatch from the darkside then. Prepare to be corrupted.
