Pornbugs is the alter ego of ‘Sven & Sven’ - two electronic music aficionados that have played together since 2005 - playing and pro- ducing deep-tech house sounds aimed firmly at the dancefloor.

Here with their Echoing In My Mind EP for Sublease Recordings, they are back doing what they do best - making high octane dance music with a touch of class.

The title track is a firing deep tech workout with a clean production and distinctive sound design, enriching the ever present dancefloor tension.

The EP also features two versions of Ramenko - the original is a slinky tech house groover with an irresistible bassline, while Sascha Dive's Soul 2 Soul Remix leans towards a soulful disco house groove while maintaining a strong edge.

As with most of Parker’s output, ‘To The Edge’ is as devastatingly simple as it is effective, with an airtight, pumping groove underpinning an earworm riff and soaring vocal. Paired back and Euro-influenced, ‘To The Edge’ is dancefloor gold from a DJ/Producer who’s made his name turning his hand to a myriad of disco, house and techno styles.

A secret weapon in Parker and Topping’s sets for the past few years, ‘To The Edge’ has had an even longer gestation period that traces back to Parker’s London record shop trawls in the nineties.

“I remember buying Hand’s Burn’s ‘Good Shot at 'Plastic Fantastic (RIP) in Covent Garden in late 1997. The riff would occasionally pop back into my head as an idea to base something around, but after rediscovering my (battered) copy in 2018, I decided to get in the studio to work on a track straight away.” - Spencer Parker, Dec 2023.

Now, ‘To The Edge’ is set to be yet another winner for Spencer Parker and Trick.

Melómana Records' latest release, reference number 42, is distinguished by the collaboration of two renowned artists from the label, Stockholm Syndrome and Tronik Youth. This release includes two original tracks that blend genres like electro, EBM, dark disco, and new wave among others, characterized by the intensive use of strident synthesizers and a robust and forceful rhythmic base, elements that guarantee their effectiveness on the dance floors.

The original tracks are complemented by three innovative remixes: Gameboyz, Mexican producer TH3OS, and French artist Cate Hortl add new dimensions to the EP's sound. "Viodance," the track that opens the release, stands out with its catchy riff and funk elements, combined with hypnotic vocals and complex arpeggios that transport the listener to another era. "Fascinated" raises the rhythm with a dark disco style bass and an arpeggiated synthesizer line that transports us to futuristic new dimensions of the dance floors.
