I/Y: Berlin based duo of Irakli Kiziria and Yacoub Chakarji, which was founded in 2011 and instantly gained success at the local underground scene. They founded vinyl only imprint named I/Y as well and released their debut EP in 2013. I/Y has also contributed to labels such as Fracture, Dynamic Reflection, Inkblots, 47 and their tracks have been remixed by artists such as Inigo Kennedy, Acronym, Headless Horseman and Tripeo.

They are also behind one of Berlin’s stand out party series “Staub” taking place at About Blank with unannounced secret line-ups.

I/Y-s dj sets are saturated with variety of hard and raw sounds bringing their own constantly developing vision to the dance floor.

From the passionate lands of France, Arnaud Galoppe, known as Focal and Kinosura, has hand-mixed an emotional labyrinth of dark techno and melancholy ambience in Ultimae’s latest compilation.
Polarity is a double-sided conglomerate of electronic expressions from all over the world, spanning across atmospheric soundworlds of intimate drone and deep, industrial progressions.
This collection of heartwarming soundscapes and foot-stomping house beats is smoother than butter, a series of 26 top-notch tracks that paint an interesting, auditory adventure. Although the album has a minimalistic approach, it offers a surprisingly detailed production. Each track is layered with expert craftsmanship and hypnotic melodies laced against diverse, psychedelic noise echoing in the distance.
Polarity is certainly an experience worth traversing, and we are proud to host it as an excellent addition to any electronica connoisseur's sound-library.

The Polarity artwork was imagined by plasticians Suzy Lelièvre and Raphaël Kuntz.
From a sphere, they conceived a parametric deformation protocol for a decomposition in several stages.
While Suzy imagines shapes and the potential modifications to impact, Raphaël works on the incarnation process to extract a mineral matter look, something geological, almost chemical. As they materialise, with slow lighting work, shapes undergo random offsets, revealing the tension between a near scientific protocol and its subjective interpretation. Beyond the infinite production of singular shapes, the goal of both artists, especially for this project, is to invent new processes that invite a reconsideration of our attitude to shapes.
In the same way, from Ambient to Techno, through a game of modulation of pads, rhythms and frequencies, Polarity offers a variety of musical spectra flowing into one another, a melodic exploration of the twists and turns which link both universes.

Music was always Part of Spork's life which started at a young age and used to listen to rock music. In 2013 he was introduced to the Maltese underground Techno scene and it was love at first sight. From that day the passion grew stronger Learning, acquiring different skills and knowledge about the art. Hard work passion and determination were key ingredients to start playing at local underground parties and after parties. People started to get intrigued by this artist especially the style of techno that he plays, which varies from dark, percussive, ambient, atmospheric, hypnotic techno to more groovy dubtechno. 
In early 2016 the debut club gig occurred in a well renowned Maltese club called the playground and in June 2016 he played for the first time in Malta's techno temple Liquid club, other gigs followed and  played warm up sets for French artist AWB and many more. 
Continuing to refine his craft in late 2016 Spork started to research in depth the art of music production by mixing the two styles that he most like tries to find the best balance between them the character and character of the hypnotic and ambient techno enhanced by the dub bass line and percussions. In 2018 his first debut track was released in a VA on the label Systolic and hes part of the booking list of the same label.

We receive as guest : Luigi Tozzi

Luigi Tozzi has calmly cemented his position as a leading DJ & producer of the deep techno scene for his distinct brand of techno that merges the sound of hypnotic techno with organic grooves from ambient and dub techno. Raised in Rome, he takes influence from the timeless Italian sound, which he’s further developed with an emotional, swirling, dubby atmosphere. There’s an unmistakable texture to his productions. While prolific, Tozzi has kept his output within a close family of labels. Swedish label Hypnus is key here, having released a large number of the producer’s EPs as well as his acclaimed debut album, Deep Blue: Volume 2. Alongside Hypnus, Tozzi has worked closely with Mental Modern and Outis Music, releasing both solo as well as collaborative work with the label’s founder, Dino Sabatini. Tozzi’s unswerving commitment to his sound, alongside his pensive and considered development as an artist has brought him to where he is today, with a touring schedule that’s taken him to some of the finest clubbing establishments around the world. Within this, he maintains a residency at Khidi, Tbilisi, which in recent years has emerged as one of the best clubbing destinations in Europe and is often coined “the new Berghain”. It’s through this platform that he brings his unique hybrid sound as both a DJ and producer, and can evolve and experiment as an artist. Other notable events that have seen Luigi capture hearts and mind include Parallel festival, Waking Life and Modem.
