Templum, the new label project from Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Auspex, marks the
beginning of a new frontier in sound for the NYC artist and curator, as he brings his previous
label project Oath to a close. Templum signifies not only a shift in sound, but a change of
perspective, moving away from shadowy things with hard edges, and looking upwards,
embracing the wide, sometimes mystical, sometimes eerie soundscapes of the cosmos and
solar systems beyond the scope of sight. Templum will be hosting work of like-minded artists
and producers that embrace the ethos of this source of inspiration. In the words of the
legendary Jeff Mills: “Techno wasn’t designed to be dance music. It was designed to be a
futurist statement.”
