I played this set in September of 2013 in Atlanta, GA at iOpener Presents Astral Flight.  The set flows from progressive psy to full on psytrance. It's a little all over the place as I didn't plan much of it out, but I enjoyed playing it.

With his upcoming mix compilation "Rush Hour - Best of 2013" due for release on December 2nd, Christopher brings you two great hours of dark trance and psy trance this month. Track of the Month goes to Oberon, plus there's new tunes by Bryan Kearney, Vini Vici, Ascent, plus Pharmacy's Casey Rasch, Elvy, Monroe Ramirez and Fergie & Sadrian and more.

This months guest mix comes from Japan's Mirok. While studying arts at university, Mirok became interested in psychedelic trance, and began to produce music. In 2012 he joined Hinowa Recordings and Grasshopper Records where he took part in making a compilation albums. His track LSDrome was named Christopher Lawrence's favorite track for 2013. His sound production ranges from a progressive to psychedelic sound, taking his audience on an emotional ride leading into the realm of serious upper sounds. So, Habit's her song has been a major hit of the last year and has seen some interesting edits, but nothing in the dance genre. Habits is one of those unique blend of feelings, its gangster, sexy, relatable, and fun... In fact we aren't quite sure why its not on the same level as Lorde's Royals... So with that in mind, we set out to create a song that complimented the vocals and the subject of the song but brought it into the club arena. The thing with our production lately is we are looking to close the gap between this big kick room house with the huge spacey middle and really melodic full progressive sound and combine it with our love for Indie emotion... its definitely challenging but we feel we are getting closer and closer”

Quickie from us: "So we actually finished this tune back in 2013 but have been waiting patiently to release it, and now that time has come. Pumpin Blood was a pretty massive tune for 2013 racking up over 1,000,000 plays and really putting NONONO on the map, who have since been blowing up internationally, so naturally we were honored to work with the talented swedish act. The song itself has so many interesting components between the verses and chorus' and who doesnt love a good whistle, its got a great sense of emotion. So during the making of this remix...... shit we cant remember we did it so long ago, fuck, whatever, but hey it has our signature pluck and we gave it a trap breakdown to spice it up a bit. Anyway, the tune has three distinct parts, and in approaching our music production now, we really want to think about the songs in terms of distinct parts to create a well quote unquote perfect whole... so we have our really emotional piano intro that pulls you in, then our sort of ectasy drop or whatever you call it, and then into this sort of thugged out trap part and then back into glorious... its a favorite of ours because we always try to create these engaging emotional aspects that draw you in and this song we feel really accomplishes that in each of its sections”

Crazy Shit’s magical 7th edition from Eat Static comes to take you on another eclectic journey this April Fools' Day! Tune into the first transmission 1st April Tuesday 8pm CET on the Trance channel.

A pre-festival warm up set just ahead of beaming down to play at many of the world's top psy festivals this coming year. 2014 marks Eat Static's 25th anniversary and there is much anticipation for the new material which has been classified 'Top Secret' and locked away at a secret underground base at an unknown location. No one has been seen going in or out and strange lights have been seen while odd 'Phweeeeping' sounds have also been heard…rumour has it that a journalist broke into the studio one night but was then found dead in a ditch not 5 miles down the road, with a strange mark on his neck...we will update you with any further information if and when we get it...

So when we began remixing it, we honestly didn’t exactly know where we wanted to go with this track at first, but as soon as we got started it just poured out with this very solom melody, that doesn’t betray the song and its sex but give it this mellow added bounce, it was a perfect double up…"
