Genre; multiple terms used to describe the different styles of music. In general, genre is best explained 
when used for more commercial likings and music industry types thus creating a way for a more popular 
understanding. Still with all the terminologies thrown around, it seems easy to forget what good song
simply is: Music you might connect with, that you find either inspirational, artfully provocative or widely 
entertaining. Music made by musicians from across the globe from all walks of life, all trying to define 
themselves in a way through melodic and expressive, vocals and chords be it objective or subjective.

Hence the name of this spirited opus entitled “Sonically Speaking.” The album brings together, Hip Hop 
aesthetics, Drum and Bass rhythms and Bluesy Neo Soul melodies. Creatively brought to you by the
eclectic Maverick Soul and MC extraordinaire T.R.A.C. the tandem combines forces of smooth
thoughtful cadence and infectious moody production to take you for a musical ride.
Both artist have their own achievements with Mavs string of Emcee recordings releases, including
collaborative efforts with Hospital, Darker Than Wax and Treehouse to name a few, to T.R.A.C.’s
phenomenal Marc Mac produced and BBE release “The Network” and his more recent critically
acclaimed V Recordings debut “Life In Motion”. During both of their busy schedules they took the time to put this together. the result is fluent, adhesive chemistry with shades of light and dark
messages.
Sonically Speaking also features seasoned guest vocalist like the sultry Riya, David Boomah, Chicago’s Christina Tamayo, and the Jazzy Sofi Mari

In all, it’s a vibrational celebration as well as an ode to expressive values. A representation to all 
musicians who explain themselves best thru their voices and their instruments. These tunes will without a doubt “Sonically Speak” to you.

Dear Mix Diary,
Nearly four weeks since I wrote a mix diary entry! Croakheads is doing a takeover for the Proelium Audio/Basscamp London Sunset Party to support Blooom/VOE/Ruth Royall. So I’m using this as an opportunity to help last-minute promote their event!
Oh god, last month’s recap, let’s go…
* Launched Croakheads North! (We kept that one quiet, hey?)
* Played MAIN room at Volks, Brighton - bucket list moment!
* Supported Jam Thieves at the Shape Up Sounds/Infected Events night in Torquay.
* Met some really cool people in Torquay that have become friends.
* More Code South Radio adventures (and sausage rolls).
* Croakheads is playing for the Sunset Party takeover to support Blooom/VOE/Ruth Royall.
* Announced Planet Wax Croakheads Invites night on 14th August.
* About to announce a collective takeover night on 19th September with a headliner.
* Organised my 30th joint birthday event in London with friends. Poster is amazing.
* Met up with Charis who gave me some basic production lessons/took headshots.
* Formed an amazing Ambassadors team that are super dedicated.
* Those Ambassadors and admin launched our streaming service! Thank you!
* Reorganised and restructured the entire team of Croakheads… Busy!
* Some more edits mixes with great DJs.
* Connected with crazy amounts of collectives. I’ve lost count.
* Went to a great Overview event at Volks and met new people/saw lovely friends.
* Put up our event posters all over Stokes Croft/Bristol for our event soon.
* Met Mark from Basement 45 and their venue team. Nice people.
* Completed the DJ competition and selected a winner.
* Celebrated Bacchus’ birthday in Ware. Beautiful day. Beautiful people.
* As always, spent loads of time with friends and great people.

Perseverance is an often use word to describe a person overcoming their struggles. A battle conquered a day. In today’s music world - while all the glitz and glamour can be rewarding for some dedicated striving artists, too many don’t maintain longevity and are quickly forgotten. Yet in the middle of it all are those few who stay patient, true to themselves, and focused on their respective musical pursuits. Brooklyn’s own NYC underground artist, T.R.A.C., has climbed to new heights throughout his years of experience in both Hip Hop and Drum and Bass. A masterful wordsmith, his talents are proven in his work with legendary producers such as Marc Mac (4hero) and Lewis Parker(UK). As an MC, he’s rocked stages with names like LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Goldie  to name a few from the lengthy (and growing) list of A class DJs. Recognized internationally throughout his career in the Drum and Bass scene as a premiere stateside born MC with the roots of a talented Hip Hop artist.
Featured on a slew of Lewis Parker projects, T.R.A.C. released his BBE debut Hip Hop effort, “The Network”, in 2011. The album was produced by legendary 4hero artist Marc Mac, and received underground critical acclaim, along with 6 star rating from OE magazine. T.R.A.C.’s sound is described as bluesy, soulful, easy listening, yet still Hip Hop.
Already respected in the world of Drum and Bass, T.R.A.C. has recently garnered even more attention via a plethora of well-received releases with respected labels. His work with Shogun LTD. Jazzsticks (Paul SG), Intrigue Music (Ben Soundscape), and V recordings are notable within the genre. Tunes like “The Partys Arrived” (Dave Owens), and the now classic “Higher Ground”(Submorphics), have elevated the artist to a higher platform and created much anticipation for his debut DnB album with V boss Bryan Gee. After recent release of “the V singles” compilation, an energetic buzz is rising and T.R.A.C.’s time has come to shine. 2017 is shaping up to be an amazing run for this talent. Listen to his music, catch him action, and enjoy the moment. His goal still remains the same; He came “To Rule And Conquer”.
