After the unfortunate events that led to Undyne and Alphys’ divorce, Undyne retreated to the old ruins. Over time, she’d transform these ruins into a sanctuary for the various aquatic(-based) monsters. Ever since, she has only encountered one human, who may or may not have tried to murder her (albeit in self-defense). 

Encountering Oliver brings back some unfortunate memories for her. Rather than taking this out on them, however, she cautiously gives them the benefit of the doubt. While Undyne’s still got plenty of raw passion and energy at heart, she tones this down when traversing the main sanctuary halls.

This is the main enemy encounter theme for T-SPIN Single! In The Sanctuary you'll encounter a handful of new and old foes, such as Woshua, Moldsmal, Vegetoid, Migsop, as well as Aandrew -- a variant of Aaron who's still building up their muscle, and Strongbird, a deceptively chirpy fellow with a secret passion for singing.
