Imbolc reminds us that spring is coming soon, and that we only have a few more weeks of winter to go. The sun gets a little brighter, the earth gets a little warmer, and we know that life is quickening within the soil

Sunset and sunrise sets are my favorite types of DJ sets to play. Managing the threshold between night and day (or viceversa) takes s lot of nuance. Combine that with an opening set and that is the result of this musical journey. There is something to be said about playing for the sun and the moon in a single DJ set. 

On that note, if you play this set an hour before the sun sets it will match the vibe perfectly. Make sure to bring your favorite bottle of wine to that rooftop. ;)

We hope that you all have been staying inside and being safe. We have been spending our quarantine in the beautiful mountains of Lake Tahoe. We were able to bring our studio out here and have been spending a lot of our creative time writing a lot of music. Thanks to the kind folks at Nômade Tulum for reaching out and having us featured on this podcast, and it is our intention to use our creativity and musical story telling abilities to create a beautiful and slow pace for this particular mix. We have been digging deep into our skills and into our hearts and crafted a lot of new material that spans some genres most of you might not be familiar with.  Journey with us through ambient, electronica, dub, drum’n'bass, and IDM.  Close your eyes, and turn it up.

Joss Martin es un DJ / productor mexicano. Comenzó su carrera musical en Europa y ha seguido una trayectoria relevante en México en el contexto de la música orgánica y el downtempo. 

Joss se inspira en sonidos y ritmos de la naturaleza. Crea sus sets mezclando esos sonidos con bases étnicas e hipnóticas que él mismo produce o adquiere a lo largo de sus innumerables viajes.

"Thinking body, dancing mind" es el mantra de Joss, y lo comunica mediante su música pues el cuerpo puede ser consciente de su entorno sonoro, y así la mente lo seguirá con felices movimientos. 

Para TM011, Joss presenta un hybrid set de downtempo inspirado en ritmos tribales y latinos con tonos oscuros y misteriosos que pretenden regalarnos un escape espiritual.
