The Berlin based Sooma joins us for a very special guest podcast after catching our eye (and ears) with releases on Connected, Ouie and Keinemusik and impressing us with her fine selections in a plethora of  mixes. She plays regularly throughout Berlin and delivers energetic, eclectic sets covering the spectrum of afro-house, techno and disco. In this podcast she stayed clear of traditional electronic music and really dug deep to show us her favourite records from around the world, new and old. Thank you so much @soomamoore !!

Oleeva Podcast Thirteen: Sooma - Harari

My Sunday sunrise set from Underworld at Kiez Burn. What a morning! Following up the darker psychedelic energy of the previous DJs, I was really happy to bring the crowd into a more melodic and euphoric sunrise mood, and end it with some tongue-in-cheek fun. It was really the perfect ending to a wonderful burn - emotional, silly, and surrounded by people I love.

Hard to encapsulate this Burn for me in a few words, but it was really, really wonderful. I was so proud of the new camp we built, and so happy to spend quality time (and silly time) with my person and our friends. I am also so grateful for the KB community - the familiar faces and stories from last year and from around Berlin that make coming back such a joy, and the newer folks I got to create some new memories with. KB really feels like a communal effort, and after 5 big burns, it’s so intimate and uniquely special.

Thank you to Underworld for having me again:) I’m always wowed by your creativity, motivation and what you bring to the Burn - your talents are really such a gift that everyone enjoys.

And of course, so much love to my dear Camp Schlampagne for sticking it out through Saturday night and bringing the Schlampesau-energy to Underworld...and the entire Kiez Burn! I’m so proud of us:) SEKT IST KEIN SCHLAMPAGNE! <3

Illich Mujica es un DJ / productor originario de Venezuela y radicado en Nueva York. Illich es un auténtico melómano y enfoca su trabajo como DJ en el elemento musical de la melodía, ya que es el fenómeno que permite la secuencia de los sonidos que integran una obra sonora, y por ende, la variedad de emociones que una pista y un set pueden llegar en generar a los oyentes. Así, ha destacado en la escena neoyorquina como un artista que guía al dancefloor por un viaje de sonidos y emociones cuyo camino es el techno melódico. Su visión del universo y el amor por sus raíces venezolanas lo han llevado a integrar melodías electrónicas con sonidos cósmicos o ritmos latinoamericanos, lo que caracteriza ya su estilo. 

Para "TM08", Illich  presenta una mezcla de pistas que son parte de su gusto y repertorio musical pero que salen de los esquemas de música electrónica dance. Desde Jazz hasta Heavy Metal; este mix nos trae algunas cosas bizarras que motivarán nuevas emociones e imaginarios durante estos días finales de encierro.

Es gibt so Musiker und Menschen die ich über Soundcloud kennenlernen durfte … die sich über die Jahre zu richtigen Freundschaften entwickelt haben --- toll toll toll. Hierzu gehört A. aus der Nähe von M. Gerade treibt er musikalisch sein Unwesen als „hrsch“ aber seine Projekte hören dann auch immer wieder mal auf und es tauchen an anderer Stelle wieder welche auf. Sprich er bleibt mit seiner Musik gerne etwas unbekannt. Lange lange Jahre hat er ausschließlich nur Vinyl gespielt, mit einer gigantische Musiksammlung. Nun hat er aber ca. die ½ seiner umfangreichen Sammlung an ein DJ-Kollektiv übergeben und ist nun einfach mal etwas digital unterwegs … schön flexible. Und deswegen fehlt er auch nicht in meiner kleine „We Are At Home“ Reihe … ein wunderbares Set für Zuhause oder gerne auch am See.

An dieser Stelle Danke A. für unseren tollen musikalischen wie auch menschlichen Austausch … auch wenn wir uns nicht oft sehen … sehe ich doch als einen meiner besten Freunde an.

Elektro Uwe ist zurück … aber nur kurz und nur um euch in dieser seltsamen Zeit mit guter Musik zu versorgen … die Reihe endet, wenn die Clubs wieder aufmachen. Und bitte unterstützt eure Freiräume … sonst wird es sie nach der Krise nicht mehr geben.

Jeden Monat ein Set, jeden Monat ein bestimmtes Feeling.

Die Tektonische Fresseverschiebung macht keine Kompromisse, sie nimmt auch keine Gefangenen. Wer einmal auf den Zug aufgesprungen ist, kommt so schnell nicht mehr runter und fährt mit Doppel-Vollgas ins Land des Glücks. Nznznz macht es hier und ab geht es, vor allem geht es nach vorne und scheppert und gibt, wie man so schön sagt, hoffentlich doll auf die Fresse <3.
