Blending classic pop and rock & roll sounds, Royal Band reflects the diverse musical backgrounds of its founding members, Peter Daily and Darius Minaee. The duo first met while touring as drummers for indie hip- hop artists Pigeon John and Lyrics Born, forging a connection that would eventually lead them to create their own music.

During a break from their touring schedule, Peter and Darius began working with Adam MacDougall (The Black Crowes/Circles Around the Sun) as producer on a collection of songs. Their recording journey spanned four Los Angeles studios, from the beach to the hills of Hollywood. With just the two of them as the core of the band, they assembled a talented roster of musicians to bring their vision to life. Beginning at the now-closed Hollywood Sound Recorders, they quickly found their rhythm, working with guitarists Brian Ray (Paul McCartney) and Chris Bruce (Sheryl Crow). Several songs from these sessions would later be featured in the Netflix series Terrace House: Opening New Doors.

Royal Band is an eclectic blend of influences, nodding to the music of Paul McCartney & Wings, Harry Nilsson, and Steely Dan while keeping things fresh with a modern twist. Royal Band are a mix of timeless sounds and contemporary energy showcasing the unique musical personalities of Peter and Darius, creating something both nostalgic and forward-looking.
