Floating removes you from the outside world and gives your mind the freedom to wander wherever it wants to go. You have a space where you can lie down, removed from the pressure of thinking, discussing, or participating in anything at all. It’s an environment that exists almost completely opposite our current plugged-in, sensory-driven way of life. Flourishing and regaining back all the dark/bright, warmth/cold, emotive/cheerful, ambiguous and mysterious sensations that has now all but vanished leaving abandoned souls. 

Dycide is a producer / DJ, professional sound designer and visual artist from Munich / Germany. Back in 2014, he established the Dycide pseudonym in order to release mainly minimalistic deep drum and bass. However, he slowly started changing more and more to techno oriented music and, along the way, he and his close friends established @iorecs, an audiovisual label, focusing on experimental ambient and deep techno and atmospheric artwork. Besides these projects David is working as an interactive sound designer and audio software developer.

Parabel is a leading brand of Techno in their native Sweden. Listing many of the top artists on their agency books such as Samuli Kemppi, Exos, Joel Mull and Petter B amongst others. This their seventh vinyl and digital release comes from the inaugurating artist who began the label’s journey.

With a back catalogue of appearances on Minus, Break New Soil and Drumcode for example, Patrick Siech has gone from strength to strength, finding a home within an abstract and underground sound that is full of quality, as shown once again on his forthcoming Eter EP.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the first track called “Tessellation” for the hypnotic backdrop and sweeping bass that create a magnificent floor groove. Dreamy atmospherics lighten the mood, as it rolls on with more head down power and an ultimate touch of class.

Taapion Records co-founder PVNV returns to his label with five atmospheric cuts this September.
The Taapion Records discography, which now boasts a credible roster spanning Roman Poncet, Antigone, Francois X, Bambounou and more, has been oscillating between Techno, Ambient and Electronica since its launch in 2013. Following on from a collaborative release between the label’s other two co-founders Shlømo and AWB, PVNV now presents a five-tracker exemplary of the label’s extraordinary aesthetic.
Built on an intricate rhythm, ‘Library’ features a medley of obscure elements that operate together to generate an increasing rise in tension, whilst ‘Unknown Process’ is more robust in comparison with its raw kicks and serene chords. The next two tracks are practically beatless with the scintillating sounds of ‘SAVE’ up first, making way for the subtle drums of ‘Default’ that are combined with mesmerising vocal samples to join layers of sweeping synths. Meandering forward with syncopated percussion, ‘Auss’ then concludes matters in a spellbinding finale.
PVNV ‘SAVE.RESET EP’ is out on Taapion Records on 8th September 2017.
