Very excited to present the next instalment of the Yeah Nah Cast. I met DJ Tropical Breeze online during lockdown as an introduction to the his world of the Marina Boys. Before too long we started gigging together and surprisingly we both discovered we had a love of the minimal boom of the early 2000s. He was very eager to put this all vinyl set together and is an amazing addition to this series.

Some words from him:
Thoroughly enjoyed exploring these records! As requested I assembled this largely from records bought in Tokyo when I first discovered techno, from early 1999–2002, and a few from London 2004–5. These records soundtracked my travels around Tokyo on the subway and between clubs, record shops, bars, a delightful period where these bleeps and pops fit perfectly, all played through a walkman minidisc recorder. I couldn't find any images, or even references to online, the bar MU I used to play in Shinjuku, but I found an old photo of the lights at another bar I once played at in Shibuya - Sugar High. Again almost no reference to it online but in the late 90s/early 2000s Sugar High was a lovely, small DJ bar, couple of stools, a dancefloor and a raised booth, was a lovely spot for pre-club drinks.

Yeah Nah Cast 007 - DJ Tropical Breeze

For it's 46th outing, Klasse Wrecks recruits the Brooklyn based producer Gee Dee to it's ranks. Gee Dee aka Greg Droggitis turns in a wonderful and fully fledged collection of tracks that burst to the brim with atmosphere and sunny vibrations. True to the label's ethos, the music is as always, hard to pin down under one specific genre but instead slyly calls on various classic House, Electro and Acid tropes. The overall sound is one that is both universal and transcendent, feeling familiar but still surprising. 'Dream In Colour' is indeed an apt title for the EP as it spans the musical spectrum and is a lucid and vivid trip into the imagination of this new and exciting producer.
