Organized by Echoes of Seoul @echoesofseoul , ‘The Awakening’ is a series of events that will promote local
DJs in Seoul. Volume 1 will feature 5 techno DJs: Syffre, Song Vera, Chukimaandal, Ana
Kim, and Soyo.

Techno is a genre that encompasses a wide-ranging set of emotions from the calm and meditative to the raw and primal. It's a genre that thrives when you let it take over the
mechanical nature of the body.

The concept of 'The Awakening' is about celebrating some of the unique attributes of Techno
as a way of metamorphosis. The exploration of who you are as a person, of being awakened
to life, the understanding of the human condition, to the search for your true self.

‘The Awakening’ 은 Echoes of Seoul이 만든 로컬 DJ들을 소개하는 공연이다. Volume 1 은
Syffre, Song Vera, Chukimaandal, Ana Kim, and Soyo 이 5명의 테크노 DJ들과 함께한다.

테크노는 차분하고 명상적인 부분부터 원초적인 부분에 이르기까지 폭넓은 감정을
아우르는 장르이다. 몸을 자연스럽게 그대로 맡길때 더 제대로 느낄 수 있다.
‘The Awakening’ 의 주제는 테크노음악이 다양한 유니크한 형태로 변함에 있어서
'깨어남'이야기한다. 당신이 사람으로서 어떤 사람인지, 인생에있어서의 깨달음, 인간의
대한 이해, 그리고 당신 자신에 대한 진실된 고찰.

The tank is empty and the crew needs fuel to start again in 6th gear. "Panne Seiche" comes at the right time to mark the beginning of the school year. The seasoned mechanics of Garage 83-C, the lighthouse team of Armen Crew and the alcoholic druids of La Grande Gudule got together to concoct this compilation of 30 tracks. 
Between trippy electro, raw rhythms and acidulous or destructured ballads, get your driving gloves ready, there's no turning back!

Our friend DULLAFTRUSE from San Diego returns to Sorry Records with six massive new club cuts ready for the dancefloor matrix. Building on the club fusion bliss of his RUMBLEPACK EP featuring DJ Swisha, EMANATOR finds Bishop pushing further into hardcore continuum zones of Jungle, UK Garage, and overall bass. 

DULLAFTRUSE has been holding down the underground club scene in San Diego for a minute now. He  runs a party in his hometown of San Diego called ETHIXX that has brought folks to town like Bastiengoat, DJ Swisha, C.Z., and quest?onmarq who had Bishop contribute the inaugural guest mix for their great SPIRALinggg residency on The Lot Radio here in Brooklyn.

Bishop has reunited with amad.studio for the fantastic artwork and engineer DJ Chap (Teklife) on the master.

Bleary eyed, he picked his head up off the kitchen table, confused why he'd awoken here instead of his bedroom. Head pounding, he stuck his mouth under the faucet and turned the tap on full blast, spraying water across the kitchen worktop in the process. Memories from last night had faded and anxiety began to set in. This was another kind of delirium.

Next up on All Centre, the fresh London label offering their own take on bass and techno, comes from Liverpool-based DJ and producer M T Hall. Following previous releases from the likes of Yushh, Alexis, BLEID and label heads Simkin and DJ Pitch, M T Hall's offering is made up of two acid explorations for the dance floor, with our pick 'Another Kind Of Delirium' bringing together otherworldly pads and intricate acid lines peppered with field recordings.

'The idea of the remix project sort of implied itself along the creation of the album: since I treated creating music as planning journeys in ‘cities’ that are made out of several dozens of sonic building blocks, I quickly realized that besides releasing music as ‘finished’ tracks, I very much wanted to share my experience of discovering such journeys with my fellow artists as well.

I believe this project opens up the structures and possibilities of ‘Automated Dances’, where each producer reacts true to their own artistic values and aesthetics. Exploring, experimenting and reconstructing is the very nature of what we do - with ‘AD Remixes’ we wanted to share the joy and excitement of all of these creative processes. At the same time, I consider ’AD Remixes’ to be a celebration of some of my dearest artists living and working in the cutting-edge electronic music scene today.

Let me thank all of you who contributed to this project, you are truly inspiring me to think and feel about music in many different ways. And obviously, a huge thanks goes for EXILES label-boss Erik: without your persistent help and support, this project would be a non-existent one.'
