That moment sparked something deep — and I knew I had to capture it in sound. The hypnotic bassline and driving percussion are a tribute to the energy and style of Boris Brejcha, while the atmosphere reflects the sensual mystery of that voice. This is a track born in the night, made to be felt in the dark.

"Our Own Odyssey" is the debut live act collaboration between Demian Acosta and Paul Melia — a real-time performance crafted entirely with synthesizers and drum machines. Recorded in a single, unedited take and filmed for YouTube, it blends progressive flow, minimalistic textures, and melodic layers, evolving with the natural energy of the moment. Every sound, every transition, was shaped live, capturing the spontaneity and dialogue between the machines and the artists. The result is a dynamic soundscape that shifts between hypnotic grooves and atmospheric depth, marking the first chapter of our shared musical path.

The single “Our Own Odyssey” will be released on September 5th, available for purchase and streaming on all major digital platforms worldwide.

Chris Cargo lands on JourneyDeep Records for their 100th release.

Irish long serving DJ and producer Chris Cargo, is a veteran of the underground scene, he started his production career in the late 90s, and has been at the forefront within the electronic music scene ever since. His music has graced Renaissance, Automatic Records, Whoop, Armada Music, Configurations Of Self and onedotsixtwo, amongst many more.

He delivers two originals here, booth oozing of confidence and quality, as you'd expect. Starting with Dawntreader, a hypnotic and deep workout, with subtle warmth looming, over its trippy soundsacpe, full of drive and dramatic flavours.

Next up its 'Distant Mellow, and as the title suggests, an understated sophistication locks you in to its spell, as the blippy melodic patterns merge and melt wonderfully, with a chunky and hazy wash of goodness.
