Scottish producer/DJ Tactus - head of ABAGA Records - is back with a 4 track EP out on August 4th, 2014 through his own label. The ‘Relocate EP’ is a collection of tracks made at different points over the last 3 years, and will finally be available for a ‘name your price’ download. Despite being recorded at different times, the songs work together, melding jungle sounds with short edits of reggae vocals and rhythmical basslines, which translate well to dance floors, while retaining melody and a relaxed atmosphere. Tactus’ last EP had a great reception, with plays from various DJs and radio shows, including Sub.fm and Radio 1’s Ally McCrae. 

More Tactus releases still to come on ABAGA Records this year.

Tactus is a prolific producer and live performer. His past successes include a BBC Radio 1 live session, numerous international radio sessions, running his own label ABAGA Records, frequent airplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Sub.FM, Dandelion Radio (to name but a few), and lecturing for the MOBO tour about his music.

Since 2008, he has released music through his own ABAGA Records and other labels including Gradient Audio, Black Lantern Music, Little Rascal Records, C-Front Sounds, and Nerve Breaks. Regular appearances at club nights all over Edinburgh, and slots alongside acts such as The Others, Tes La Rok, Flux Pavilion, Remarc and Andy C, and playing at festivals including this year’s Eden, his exciting live shows are not to be missed. Tactus aims to push boundaries with his music and push exciting new sounds, so be aware of his movements, there is a lot to come from him.
