What a night of firsts. First edition of Liminal: Transmissions, first time playing at Kater Blau, first proper club gig in general to be honest, first time playing on a function one ...

Huge thanks to Liminal Events and especially @multi-fuse for inviting me and trusting me with opening the Heinz Hopper floor from 0 till 2. And to the one person who made all this possible, you know who you are. 

Thanks as well to the great collectives, artists, performers, the staff and the awareness who made this night a truly special one and an experience to remember! I guess the outcome proved us right. I had a lot of fun playing some music while so much magic was happening all around me.

Sadly my recording device died on me 30 min into the set, even though the batteries where fresh. So I had to re-record everything and we unfortunately have to miss out on all the cheering that encompanied the performances mid-set. Sorry for that.

Last but not least, thanks to all those who joined me for a dance, filled the floor so rapidly and enlightened it with their cheerfulness and their energie and to everyone who approached me during or after the set. That meant a lot to me!

💭 Loslassen ist eine Kunst für sich. Gar nicht mal so leicht für dich und mich. Von Partymäusen zu Feierveteranen. Wer konnte das bloß ahnen? Dachten, es würde ewig gehen, doch auch die beste Reihe wird irgendwann vergehen. Trotzdem bleiben wir nicht stehen, sind konstant am Möglichkeiten erspähen, schließen dieses Kapitel heute unter Freudentränen.

🎵 Heute haben wir das Leipziger DJ-Duo Takt & Taumel mit einem Podcast auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Die beiden lieben es ausgesprochen Bouncig. Seit 2024 auch insbesondere im Doppelpack. Sie balancieren mit geschick und Fingerspitzengefühl zwischen Bass- und Tech House, Dark Disko und Techno sowie auch gern mal in den Spähren von Down- und Midtempo. Egal wie schnell oder langsam es bleibt treibend und mitreißend.

Treibend und rumpelnd, schlammig und funkelnd - versumpft mit uns krüglich und lauschet dem Sumpfophon. Eine Reise beginnt, die Krüge sprießen, Äuglein schließen, Öhrchen spitzen. Der Sumpf ist unruhig, Schallwellen treiben ihr Unwesen.

Zwei mystische Gestalten erzählen Geschichten von Verwunschenem, auf (mys)-Tischen tanzen Krugodile zwischen Pflanzen, darüber wandeln Schimpansen im Gewand der Toleranzen 🎊 diladï und R3NATA - die Erzählerinnen des Wahnsinns verwandeln Instanzen in Resonanzen ✨

Während der Mond sich in die Nacht erhebt und ein Märchen von enzian-blauen Sumpfkrügen in den Wind flüstert - schweben Glühwürmchen auf der Suche nach unentdeckten Sümpfen empor, prunkvoll werden sie sichtbar am Himmel - wie funkelnde Sterne treiben sie tiefer in die Nacht  🌠 

Im Schimmer der Dunkelheit baumeln diladï & R3NATA  🌬️ Nebelschwaden ziehen ein im mystischen Tal, seichte Schleier komponieren ihre Sumphonie 🎵 Die Karten sind aufgeDeckt, der Sumpftrumpf liegt auf dem Tisch - doch sie haben noch nen b-Ass im Ärmel ♠️ In tickender Harmonie werden die Karten symbiotisch ineinandergereit und entfalten ihre Melodie. Verborgen im gestrigen Morgen, verlieren wir den Sinn für Zeit - wie Uhrwerke längst vergessener Tage - so knarzt es weiter, es rattert, knattert und knackt im Unterholz 🌀

We lose all sense of time, and yet, we creak onward like crackling underbrush, hidden within yesterday’s dawn 🌀

Hard to define, so we resign - just drift along and lose all time!

It's been some time since I put out my last recording, and I thought it was about time to upload something new.

My original plan was to record from the night with Acid Pauli a couple of weeks ago, but the recorder begged to differ (bummer!). 
Last weekend I was asked to bring a recorder at For Haus' Sake, and it ran all night even if I hadn't planned on uploading.
But the recording turned out fine, and I haven't put out recordings from For Haus' Sake since the very early days of this beloved party series. So, it actually fits me fine to share this, even if it wasn't planned :)

And since we are at it: This one goes out to all the amazing people that keep supporting For Haus' Sake event after event, and that over the years have made it into the fantastic gathering that it has turned out to be. Thank you - to many more to come!

This time I had the pleasure to take over after Eski, Ouhana and Arturo, and to close the night. So here are the first two hours of my set, with some great tunes from friends and artists I admire, lots of sassy vocals and even an unfinished of mine, that I was fairly hesitant to play (but I'm happy I got to test).

Friends, THANK YOU FOR A MINDBLOWING FUSION! 

It is known that Fusion is a state of mind. Somehow I have very few memories of it this year's festival. But I'm pretty sure I was there. Here's two pieces of evidence: a picture of the rocket, that was found on my phone (the image you see here) 🚀, and a recording named "Fusion 2020" on found on my hard drive.

The backbone of this comes from an intimate but fun open-air here in Copenhagen, that I then readapted some. While recording it I got pretty emotional to be honest. Fusion was my entrance gate to this music, and I haven't skipped a year since 2010. Luckily 2017 showed that summer happens also in the Fusion-less years.

This set is a bit of a BPM rollercoaster. It starts one place, go up, then down, then I drop 20 BPM at once and start again at 90, to end around the 113. I like to think that the different sections will also take you by hand on a little imaginary journey through our favourite playground. We probably start at fernab's beach paradise, head over to Sonnendeck, back to Karla Kutter, jump for a beer at Räuberhöle before heading to Tanzwüste and perhaps a little sprinkle of Bachstelzen - just to make sure that everything is out of control and as crazy as it is supposed to be at this time and place of the year.

Keep strong out there, keep clean outside and dirty inside, and hope to catch you soon, or at the latest at the 2021 rocket-science enthusiasts gathering.

So: here comes my Fusion set for 2020 - don't let the pandemic cheat you and get your yearly dose of rocket medicine.
