Based in Berlin, Mūna has been sharing her passion for energetic and vibrant music with people on the dancefloor in clubs and at festivals since 2022. Always reinventing herself a little and inspired by her feelings and experiences, her style can always be described as a colorful potpourri of different musical genres that she artfully weaves together to create her unique sound. 

She loves to set off little rockets on the dancefloor with powerful beats and captivating vocals and touching her audience with airy, light, dreamy sounds. Mūna always prepares her sets with a selection of fine edits and recognizable melodies of hits from the past to nostalgically indulge in old memories and create new unforgettable moments.

She is all about the stories she can tell through her music to take her audience on a musical journey that is both captivating and soulful.

Fourmi Rouz has been creating  regional artistic collaborations amongst the islands of the Indian Ocean, aiming to preserve, revamp and disseminate their unique musical heritage throughout the world. He delivers his Afromyrma mix featuring tracks from Alma Negra, Golden Teacher, Afel Diallo, Maalem Mahmoud Guinia & Floating Points, Tinariwen remixed by Four Tet, recent guest O'Flynn and the DJ Khalab and Baba Sissoko collaboration. He told us;

The story starts in 2013 where a longing to share avant-garde music culminated in the creation of the channel - an outlet intent on showcasing nothing but the most distinctive four to the floor sounds. Mia Mendi has relentlessly evolved moment to moment, both stylistically and conceptually. 

Fast-forward to present day and the name now represents an artistic duo obsessed with uniting melancholic ambience, loaded drums and modulating melodic leads. This is esoteric production beautifully sewn together with the threads of bedlam - made to move you through a string of sombre dreams.

Mia Mendi have releases on labels such as Stil Vor Talent, Lauter Unfug, and Rhetorical. With forthcoming music on Selador. The music they produce has received world-class support from the likes of Sasha, OC & Verde and Rafael Cerato. Mia Mendi have taken the Beatport charts by storm with 2 top 10 releases and 9 tracks overall in the top 100, as well as being featured in several Beatport Best New Progressive and Melodic House & Techno charts.

They have already releases in huge labels like Stil Vor Talent,Bar 25,King Street, Ritter Butzke and more...
They have also released several sample packs and preset packs for Zenhiser and Audiotent.
Their refinement translates into a maniacal attention to the creation of their sound that passes through elaborate processes of synthesis and research.

Heimlich Knüller graces Flow Sessions 028, generations of ravers have had their spirits lifted by this incredible performer. We were lucky enough to have Heimlich play at our inaugural Flow Event at The Sage Club In Berlin, look out for the footage. We look forward to the artists description once it is translated from German... Thank you Deep. This mix starts almost in a folky vein but at 45 minutes really gets into it's groove. INTERVIEW

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
"Daily life impressions, emotions, atmospheres and places around the world. Also a night out listening to impressive dj’s brings me a lot, which is not much happening at the moment with the current situation of the clubs being closed and I recognized I miss a lot of inspiration from that. But it's interesting that I'm forced to find other sources to get inspiration from. For example I love visual arts and paintings, which I can use to get inspiration from. Also I visit a lot of abandoned places for my events which are all different and have different atmospheres, this gives me a lot of ideas as well. Besides that, I can also get very inspired by simply starting jamming in the studio without any clear goal."

How do you stay focussed in a world of constant distraction?
"I take time to plan in a few days where I only work on music and do nothing else. I am quite quickly distracted, impulsive and all over the place mostly. So I need to have my working place and be able to close myself off."

Do you have a morning routine?
"Not at all, I'm a night person so mostly I start my day after morning."

What fascinates you about your art?
"Several things. It’s a nice feeling to create something out of nothing and I love the way I can travel in my own mind and thoughts through sound. I can listen and work for hours on music and get through different thoughts, feelings and emotions. This works as a sort of meditation which is needed for me. The social way music connects is very fascinating as well. Meeting so many people at different places which I get connected with by sharing the same art, doing projects and learning from each other. And keeping to learn producing music is never ending. There is so much you can create and discover, you can go as far as you want which never gets boring."

What for you is the purpose of art?
"Expression, for me it’s all an expression of life."

BIO:

BLK is an electronic music lover based in Paris. His introduction to electronic music started at a very young age, when he was just ten. In the early 2000’ he was already embracing this art under its many forms; Trance, Techno, Minimal and House music. From there, he started shaping his own world through his biggest inspirations at that time such as Sasha, John Digweed, Dj Shah, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Magda, Trentemøller and many others. Growing into a true fan of the electronic nightlife, he forthwith made it his addictive passion. BLK turned from a music lover to a music maker.

But nothing great happens overnight. Before revealing his talent to the world, BLK worked in the shadow for several years, learning, practicing and evolving with open heart and ears to new sounds and influences. As his background in electronic music became wider, he fell in love with new melodies, finding inspiration in the work of artists like Mira, Âme, Denis Horvat, Cliff De Zoete.

Today, BLK found his balance between diversity and uniqueness. Since he shaped his very personal touch, he is able of playing deep and melodic styles with various sonorities without losing his unique print. He defines this print as an “undeniably bold and precise melodious variation of House & Techno with hidden shades of darkness and exotic melancholic vibes”. From catchy and sensual rhythms to mesmerizing voices, BLK’s music is a form of poetry that will awaken all your senses and take listeners on a sonic journey they won’t soon forget.

Very passionate, BLK is now pushing his work to a whole other level. In order to share a more personal vision of electronic music with the universe, he is working on composing and producing his own music.
