Needwant  are  pleased  to  welcome  Kiwi  onto  the  label  for  his  debut  'Mayfly' release.  Starting  with  the  chilled   original  that  is  completed  with  Amy  Skippings  vocals.  Belgian  DJ  and  producer  Compuphonic  shows  diversity  by   delivering  two  remixes.  Urulu  switching  things  up  with  his  dub  remix.   Alex  Warren  aka  Kiwi  has  developed  his  own  unique  sound  over  the  past  year,  combining influences  from  Disco,  Funk  and  House.  2013  has  seen  him  announce  releases  on  labels  such  as  Days  Of  Being  Wild,  Kitsune  and  the  highly  acclaimed  Deep  Shit. One  of  the  youngest  DJs  on  the  Belgian  DJ  circuit,  Maxime  Firket  aka  Compuphonic  soon  moved  onto  the   international  scene  with  a  release  on  Tiga's  Turbo  Recordings.  Further  releases  came  on  other  highly  acclaimed   labels  including  Modular,  Darkroom  Dubs,  Systematic  Recordings,  2020  Vision  and  Parquet  Recordings.     Taylor  Freels  aka  Urulu  recently  teamed  up  with  fellow  Londoners  Chaos  In  The  CBD  to  release  their  'Never  Again  EP'  on  Needwant.  Originally  from  L.A,  Urulu  has  been  making  a  name  for  himself  recently  with  previous   releases  on  Exploited  and  Dirt  Crew  Recordings.

Loverdose - Alkapone (Summer Edit)

Leeds-based house duo Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe have been working together as PBR Streetgang for coming up to a decade now, cutting their musical teeth on their home city’s infamous nightlife, and developing into an act that’s equally known for their quality studio output on labels like 20:20 Vision and Futureboogie, as well as their reputation for using the back-to-back setup to maximum dynamic effect in their DJ performances.

Thus as fans of PBR, when the boys take an interest in the development of an up and coming artist it piques our curiosity into seeing what said artist has to offer. After one listen to their remix of emerging singer/songwriter Charlotte OC’s ‘Colour My Heart’ she had not only our curiosity but our full attention as we set about securing the track for exclusive premiere here on Data Transmission.

With her debut Colour My Heart EP still making waves from last year as the Blackburn born Charlotte’s ode to a special night in Berlin’s Berghain and a full remix EP to follow soon get a taste of things to come on the upcoming release with this ace rework by PBR Streetgang!

Premiere: Royksopp 'Sordid Affair' (Maceo Plex Remix)

Following their label debut ‘Heights’, French production duo Weltmusik return to Purified Records with their majestic two-track ‘Lonely Roads’ EP. Opening with a touching vocal offering, the title track glides across a pristine arrangement with soaring synths, silky vocals and driving percussive elements. Flowing into ‘Crowded Skies’, Weltmusik devise a dreamy soundscape through lofty synths and intricate instrumentals, pushed along by deep rolling bass.

The ‘Lonely Roads’ EP artwork features an aerial image of a coral reef by Daniel Nicholson. Coral reefs, known as the rainforests of the sea, hold a wealth of biodiversity and provide shelter for countless marine species. These intricate structures, formed by the calcium carbonate skeletons of coral polyps, serve as vital breeding grounds and habitats for marine life. Their vibrant colors and unique shapes belie the delicate balance that exists between the coral organisms and the algae that call them home. As climate change drives coral bleaching events, organizations such as the Coral Reef Alliance work towards coral reef conservation and restoration. Acknowledging the significance of coral reefs as not only ecological treasures but also essential contributors to human livelihoods underscores the urgency of collective efforts to protect and preserve these underwater marvels. Organisations like the Coral Restoration Foundation focus on restoring and preserving coral reefs through active propagation and transplantation of corals, enhancing reef health. Label info:  This is the 16th Submarine Vibes release, made by German producers Chris Robin & Jonas Saalbach. These two guys bring us beautiful deep track with warm melodies and easy groove. EP includes remixes by Hibrid and Jelly For The Babies. Both of remixes show us different dimensions of original track. Jelly's remix is well rounded with contagious bassline which constantly keeps us on the edge. On the other hand Hibrid presents us lighter variation of original track, full of maginficent and unusual pads.
