This is the second EP album that C480 produced. It deals with a flow of emotion at night with the agony. The three tracks are composed like three movements of a piece of sonata.

인류는 한때 자연을 어머니로 둔 아기였다. 본능은 삶을 이끌었고 자연의 ‘방향성이 부재한 질서’는 혼돈과 자유를 동시에 주었다. 본능이 이끄는 대로 살아가면 되었기에 세상은 언뜻 조화롭게 보였다. 

그러나 어느때부턴가 인간은 지성을 가지며 ‘눈에 보이지 않는 것을 믿는 능력’을 얻었다. 자연 속 동물의 형태에서 벗어난 인간은 선악이 존재한다고 믿게 됐고, 시간의 끝에 죽음이 있음을 알게 됐고, 가치와 의미를 부여하는 법을 배우고, 믿음을 가지는 법을 배웠다. 이러한 인지혁명은 인류가 그 전까지 그들을 둘러싸고 있던 세계를 깨고 바깥으로 나오도록 만들었다. 

벗은 몸을 가리는 의복을 챙기면서, 또 본능에 따라 살아가는 것을 부끄러워하기 시작하면서 인간은 자연의 질서로부터 독립해 나갔다. 실존적 불안과 혼란에 비참함을 느끼는 것도 잠시, 새로운 질서와 삶을 개척해 나가며 그들은 자유를 느꼈다. 갈수록 비대해지는 직관은 가끔 그들 스스로를 놀래키기도 했다. 가슴 속 깊이 자리한 불안은 무언가에 취함으로써 잊으면 그만이었다. 

그러나 회피해왔던 실존적 혼란을 인간은 필연적으로 목도해야 했다. 의식의 저편으로 밀어버린 채 모른척해왔던 불안은 정신을 분열시켰다. 삶과 실존의 해결되지 않은 의문들은 인간의 자아를 도핑시켰고 마침내 인간은 탈진하고 말았다. 

이 탈진은 인간이 가짜 자아를 떨쳐내는 트리거가 되었다. 자신의 실존적 혼란을 마주하게 된 인간은 그것을 피하기 위해 만든 가짜 자아를 탈피해 새로운 질서를 만들어 나간다. 전에 없던 새로운 것들을 만들어내며 인간의 삶은 새로운 국면을 맞이한다. 그렇게 내면의 그림자를 하나하나 걷어가던 인간은 이윽고 페르소나를 걷어낸 ‘가장 내밀한 형태의 자아’를 발견하고 그것과 하나가 된다. 자아의 통합을 이루고 나서야 인간은 자신의 실존을 받아들이는 길목에 들어선다.

Once, human being was an infant. Nature was its nurturing mother. Instinct guided its ways to live, and the absence of a predetermined order in nature granted both chaos and freedom simultaneously. Living in accordance with instinct made the world seemingly harmonious.

Yet, at some point, humanity acquired intellect, gaining the capacity to believe in invisible things. Departing from the forms of animals within nature, humans came to believe in the existence of good and evil, in the inevitability of death at the end of time, and in the art of assigning value and meaning. This cognitive revolution shattered the world that had surrounded them, compelling humanity to venture outward.

Clothing their naked bodies and beginning to feel ashamed of living solely by instinct, humans began to emancipate themselves from the order of nature. Amidst existential anxiety and confusion, they initially felt misery. Yet they forged new orders and ventured into new lives, experiencing freedom. Deep-seated anxiety could be momentarily forgotten by indulging in something. During such evolution, their intuition had grown more insistent, and sometimes startled them.

However, humanity inevitably had to confront the existential turmoil they had been avoiding. The anxiety pushed to the fringes of consciousness fractured the psyche. Unanswered questions of life and existence doped the human ego, and eventually, humanity succumbed to exhaustion.

This exhaustion became the trigger for shedding the false self. Confronted with their own existential confusion, humanity shed the fabricated self they had created to escape it, forging new orders. Creating something entirely new, humanity ushered in a new phase of life. Stripping away the layers of inner shadows one by one, humanity eventually discovered the most intimate form of self, transcending the persona and becoming one with it. Only after achieving the integration of the self did humanity stand at the threshold of accepting its own existence.

The title track of the upcoming album "The Art of Loving." This song talks about loving myself. The speaker is talking to the younger self so that she can see herself without any distortion. Since all kind of love requires the integration of ego, I titled this track as "Where the story begins."
