My name is Robert Tivan Annakie stage name Legato. I was born on the seventh 7 of March 1991. I was born in the parish of Saint Ann in a small community called McNie. I am a very optimistic person, kind and loving. I attended the Kellits High School where I was frequently called upon by my teachers who had identified my singing ability. 
I always have a passion for music; I would frequently be called upon to sing at concerts and fun raising events in my community. I remember at a tender age when I graduated from primary school my mom asked me what I would like to be when I grow up. I answered by saying I would like to be an international reggae artist like Buju Bontan. On this reply she drove me away from her saying singing is not a career. Instead she wanted me to be a teacher or a soldier. 
In high school I excelled in music, my then teacher Mrs Frances would take me to other classes for me to help with reading songs for school festival. I remember the first time I entered a sing j competition and I won a clock in Cowley a neighbouring community. I continued to sing at concerts and stage shows. As I grow older I began to perform as a local artist in Jamaica where I have gain a lot of respect. 
I grow up in the church and come to love the lord at a very early age. I thank god for the deep Reggae roots. Throughout my life I have been through a lot and because of my experiences I am a stronger person today. Often times there were no one to talk to, there were times when i felt alone, broken penniless, and empty. It was these moments that my songs were mostly generated as a means to uplift myself and serve as a message to others that we can all overcome no matter the situation. God gave me the divine inspiration and they have drawn me in a closer relationship with reggae music. My songs are also written through observations of those that go through moments of hard times, brokenness and pain. They serve to encourage them and to remind each of us that the lord is always standing by to see us through.
