"I chose these tracks because they are a mix between beautiful piano pieces and incredible ambient soundscapes. They both inspire and help you reflect, hopefully while you are looking out onto some beautiful scenery! 'Mornings by the lake' seemed an apt theme for me to work towards, as there is nothing better than a walk along one of Scotland's many beautiful Lochs, weather permitting...

The music in this mix makes me feel carefree, the varying timbres of sounds, the delicate pianos, lush synths, and melancholic dynamics all contribute to something that feels very powerful and emotive. When I was listening back to this mix, I felt grateful for a lot in my life and it was a gentle reminder to slow down, appreciate, and allow you to immerse yourself in your surroundings."

This is one of my favourite sets I’ve ever played… from some deep and Afro vibes as the sun was setting to some big basslines to match the pure energy you guys brought to start the festival.

Tagavaka is a music and art project coming out of Scotland, UK. Ivan Hall Barrientos, the producer and composer behind Tagavaka, has a rich background in music – a classically trained pianist-turned-music producer who has been involved in the creation of various music projects that have amassed over 100,000,000 streams globally.

After self-releasing his debut EP ‘Tagavaka’ in 2020, the project has since gained the attention of dance music titans Anjunadeep – signing 6 tracks in one fell swoop. With tracks included in their flagship compilation series at the start of 2021, Tagavaka released his debut EP ‘Extrapolate’ which piqued the interest from the likes of Eli & Fur, Lane 8 and Alan Fitzpatrick.

Since then, further releases (Water EP, Bijou EP, and Sun Rings EP) gained Tagavaka debut performances supporting Max Cooper, and performing at the unique Anjunadeep Explorations festival.
