‘team rocket’s blasting off again!’

this set is intended to explore my personal journey from frustration to redemption after experiencing a depressing lose streak in a game. it captures that explosive moment when you feel the rush of being at your peak, only for everything to come crashing down. eventually, you take a breath and realize that you can always start over.  

i also wanted to imagine what it would be like exploring team rocket’s secret hideout and eventually discovering an underground rave hosted by the game’s main antagonists. 

for the intro, i sampled voices from documented news reports on the 1986 space shuttle challenger disaster as an allegory of this journey.
