“The Feeling Lingers” is a hypnotic, genre-blurring dive into the psychedelic side of 100% Kotton. Built around dreamy falsetto vocals, warped synth pads, reversed reverb swells, and soft trap-style drums, the track pulses with an emotional undercurrent that’s both soulful and surreal.

Drifting between experimental electronic and abstract R&B, this 78 BPM slow-burner feels like falling in slow motion through a dream. The arrangement floats — no big drops, no radio hooks — just pure emotional texture and spatial groove.

This is one of six unreleased tracks featured exclusively on the *Weekend Weapon (Deluxe Edition)*. It’s a statement piece, a detour into introspection, and proof that the weapon has layers.

LAPSE, is the spiritual successor to my 2018 album, These Simulations.

On LAPSE, I envisioned a post-apocalyptic world where Mother Nature, represented as an awakened sentient force, had taken control of futuristic human technology and artificial intelligence in order to cull the Earth of humans and hunt down any remaining survivors through the use of autopiloted mechs and other sinister machines. My way of representing the clash between technology (controlled by Mother Nature) and humanity (desperately trying to survive) was through the use of intentionally clashing sound textures.

One day, a few years back, I was overtaken with this vision of human structures being "reclaimed" by Nature's radiant grasp, and this is the album that resulted from that. It's worth noting: most of these songs were started around the time of the 2020 pandemic, so that was most certainly an influential factor as well.

ALOES creates atmospheric soundscapes with pop-like melodies, vocals and occasional crude beats that interact with live generated images. Through their custom software and self-built instruments they play with compositions of ambient structures, melodic elements, voice, landscape and particle based visuals. New media artist Alex van Giersbergen and sound artist Marloes van Son (born in NL, based in Helsinki) combine efforts in this audiovisual collaboration.
