This is my response to the elections -and the rise of the Right Arseholes.
The full response can be heard in the 12” version (20 minutes improvisation) .
And if any of you can handle that version it proves you truly know how to immerse and listen…
… or you subconsciously love the tortures of war…
… or you’re a hard core stoner…
.. or probably something else…
…doesn’t prove anything does it?…
….should have thought that one through really…

…But hey, the original 35 minute uncut improvisation…?
That’s definitely for my ears only.

As ever this music was entirely improvised live, groove, vocals, and all... on the spot, for the moment, the mood, the people and the vibe.

Don’t expect a 3 minute pop song …but music to put on and leave on... and be drawn in by … the groove will just keep on rolling… and the tune will just keep on wandering wherever it takes us…

Recorded in one take: guitars via LS-P5, drums on an Olympus digital dictaphone, the rest D.I.-ed. Main vocals and lead guitar fully live with other guitar layers, bass, backing vocals and horns laid down live into a Boss RC-600 looper. Drums by Lumbeats FD. (A105)

Valerian always has to work hard.
He doesn't get anything for free and isn't allowed to do what he wants.

He realizes that there's more to life than beer and wine.

Times are difficult, and things go wrong.
It's like a curse - the workload keeps increasing.

He accepts the irony of fate, but sometimes it's maddening.
He has to deal with many difficult egos, all of whom want to give nothing,  and greedy people who only think of themselves.

He tries to stay positive, but sometimes he almost loses faith.
He appreciates the beauty of his thoughts
and the universe seems to be well-disposed towards him.

But some things stick like a sticky curse, and many things keep catching up with him.
Something has to change - he intensifies his work and takes a big risk.
He tries unconventional things, questions established practices, and learns to express himself.

It seems good, and he gains hope to continue.
The first attempts are promising, but the path is arduous, has many challenges and traps.
The further he goes, the more skilled he becomes.

Still on the run, with impending doom on his heels - but he remains hopeful.

Will he make it and get the chocolate?
