As For Me And My House

"So Far Away" is based on the Parable of the Lost Sheep, a parable told by Jesus in the Gospels of Matthew (18:12–14) and Luke (15:3–7). 

The parable is about a shepherd who leaves his flock of 99 sheep to search for one that has gone missing. Jesus uses this parable to show that God's Kingdom is accessible to everyone, including those who have strayed from God's path or are sinners. 

Jesus emphasizes that the shepherd is more joyful when he finds the lost sheep than he was about the 99 that didn't go astray, which is how God will feel when a sinner returns to Him. 



So Far Away

This song is based on several scriptures, but mostly 2 Corinthians 3:18: "And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."

Its message is that we see ourselves in one way (as imperfect, flawed, sinful), and God sees us another way (righteous). 

Becoming What We Are

This song is based on Hebrews 10:23, which says, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful."
