Pronounced “Coyote and The Goose”,  “COG” is a project and band created by producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Goose.  

The musics often darker tones and brooding melodies are as much emotional, as they are individual vehicles inspired to create an immersive and emotional  response from the listener. “It’s whatever and wherever you want it to be.”

“Recording started in Winnipeg, MB a while back then Covid hit.  That spawned a move back to Vancouver and the tracks have been recorded at “the Lab” inside mOcean Beach Film & Sound Co. In Vancouver, BC ever since.”

“As much as Ché Oté and The Goose is meant to immerse the listener, the impetus was really a way for me to channel and work through PTSD, and the anxiety that comes from emotional and physical trauma.”

“The plan was always to keep Ché Oté a mystery, a guest, a phantom so to speak.  By not having a hard fix on who Ché Oté actually is, it allows the characters mystique to build.  Is it one, two, three different people?  Or is he/she the manifestation of the person I let out into the world, when my own thoughts were not necessarily great?”

Johnson is a lo-fi indie guitarist , singer-songwriter from the North East of England, known for his atmospheric soundscapes and intimate melodies. Supported by ABUS MUSIC, he records under various guises, including Johnson, Johnson and The Phantom Ramms, and Abus Soundscapes, which can all be found on Soundcloud.

His latest project, Within, Without (2024), offers brand-new tracks that explore themes of introspection, blending raw lo-fi textures with hauntingly melodic elements. 

Past collaborations include The Middle Of Life with UK singer songwriter  Brian Peters  and Brazilian artist John Alberto Moraes. The latter collaboration  resulting in the Departures EP.

Johnson's previous EP, Singing to Rooks (2016), is available on Bandcamp and continues to resonate with fans of indie and lo-fi guitar music. The EP  can also be found on YouTube and other music platforms like Spotify and Amazon Muisc. 

Chosen as Soundclouder of the Day, his  “smooth, complex, and melodic,” Johnson’s instrumental work on Crossing the River' highlights his intricate guitar style.

Not too long back I met a fellow musician, a thoroughly nice chap. His name is Johnson Ramm. You know the feeling you get when you've found something new and original and you want to keep it to yourself but you can't help it and you have to shout it from the rooftops and say "This guy is amazing!!" This is one of those moments. I was asked to do some production work not long ago for his E.P. His style? Folk. Really good hearty folk. Lyrically, this guy is a genius. He writes the kind of words you wish you had thought of about 5 minutes previous! His attitude towards his work as an artist was such an inspiration as he let me guide him on certain aspects, it was me that ended up learning so much from that day. I couldn't really tell you who he sounds like, as he has a raw and unfinished quality to his voice, it just fits into place with the atmosphere that he creates from his lyrics and melodies.”
