Una plaza en el espejo

«خروش سایه‌ها» اثری برای سه‌تار، عود، کمانچه و سازهای کوبه‌ای است که در سال ۱۳۹۷ ساخته و ضبط شد. این قطعه با تکیه بر بسترهای مُدال موسیقی ایرانی و بهره‌گیری از ساختارهای ریتمیک تالا در موسیقی هند و تکنیک‌های تی‌ها شکل گرفته و فرم قطعه به صورت 'ABA′B طراحی شده است.

"Uproaring of Shadows" is a composition for Setar, Oud, Kamancheh, and Percussions, composed and recorded in 2018. The piece is built upon modal frameworks of Persian music, while also integrating rhythmic structures of Tāla from Indian classical music and extensive use of Tihai and its form follows an ABA′B'.

Dieser Track mischt experimentellen Jazz mit einer Prise Avantgarde und zeitgenössischer Klangakrobatik.

Mit sparsam eingesetzter, aber pointierter Instrumentierung entsteht eine Stimmung zwischen geheimnisvoller Melancholie und leichter Verzückung.  

SDas Stück, spielt mit Pausen, Dynamiken und Zwischenräumen. So öffnet sich der Klangraum, sinnlich, fast schwebend.  

Eine kleine Reise zwischen Ton und Stille.

All the instrumental material in this piece is derived from a poem written in 1910 by the Estonian writer Juhan Liiv. Only later did I discover that, at the time of writing, Liiv had already been suffering from schizophrenia for several years—yet he continued to produce some of his most beautiful and profound works, including this luminous text.

I began by analyzing the spectral content of Estonian syllables, extracting rhythms, overtones, and coarticulations. The structure of the work follows this process: from vowel-based overtone chords to verse-derived harmony and rhythm, and finally to melodies shaped by the contours of speech.
By working in this way, I believe the text revealed yet another layer of both lightness and darkness embedded in the language Liiv chose. With a wealth of material generated from this analysis, I sought to shape a form that would be sensitive both to the meaning of the text and to its overtone fabric.
The final section is a multilayered composition of pre-recorded voices—some of which seemed to haunt me during the creation of this work.

"Music and numerology in different cultures"

Giorgio Colombo Taccani was born in Milan in 1961. He pursued a classical education, graduating from the University of Milan with a thesis in Music History devoted to Bruno Maderna's Hyperion.
At the same time he also studied music, earning a degree in Piano and in Composition at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, studying with Pippo Molino and Azio Corghi. He subsequently earned a diploma from the two-year advanced program in Composition taught by Franco Donatoni at the Santa Cecilia Academy of Rome, where he won a S.I.A.E. fellowship; he also took advanced courses with Azio Corghi and György Ligeti and in 1995 was chosen to attend a Summer workshop organized by IRCAM and dedicated to electronic music.
Colombo Taccani's music has won awards and honorable mentions in competitions of both national and international scope, has been regularly presented in concert seasons and music Festivals, has been broadcast by National Radios, and is published by Edizioni Suvini Zerboni, Milan.
Since 1991 to 2001 he has been working with electronic music at AGON acustica informatica musica. 
He assisted Azio Corghi during the advanced course of Composition at the "A. Toscanini" Academy in Parma. Since 1992 to 1999 he taught Composition at the "Civica Scuola di Musica" in Milan. 
Since 2005 he collaborates with the Conducting course (that focuses primarily on contemporary repertoire) taught by Giorgio Bernasconi and Arturo Tamayo at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano.
He teaches Composition at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Turin.
