I had one of the best experiences playing at the fantastically curated city festival in Bergen, second edition in May 2025.

As this was the opening set for the festival, I wanted to invite the crowd for a shared, yet intimate, introspective journey through the hypnotic soundscapes.

Listening to this track immediately reveals a masterful command of sound sculpting, a deep dive into the heart of electronic music. The powerful percussions aren't just a rhythmic foundation; they're true engines propelling the track forward with an unstoppable force. There's a meticulous care evident in their layering, which provides a robust and dynamic groove.

The punchy basses are the perfect complement, with a defined presence that pulses beneath the surface, adding depth and warmth without ever feeling heavy. These are vivid basslines, almost characters in their own right, engaging in a splendid dialogue with the other components.

Marcus Palt is a versatile musician and sound designer known for his dark, evocative, and experimental electronic music.
A multi-instrumentalist with a deep-rooted passion for analog synthesizers, Palt has been crafting immersive soundscapes for decades. Influenced by the pioneers of Detroit and Berlin techno, and with a background in progressive rock, he brings a unique blend of organic and electronic elements to his work. His compositions range from ambient to dark ambient, characterized by rich textures and a profound exploration of sound.
Having collaborated with international filmmakers on numerous soundtracks, Palt remains a mysterious figure in the electronic music scene, preferring to let his music speak for itself.

A pioneer in the exploration of early modular synthesizers in the 90s, Marcus Palt has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic sound. His passion for sound design has led him to transform everyday sounds into unique musical elements, creating soundscapes that span from progressive rock to experimental techno. 
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Terry Riley, and John Cage, his music reflects a deep appreciation for sonic experimentation and a constant search for new sonic territories.

"We find potential and strength in the dark and hidden". Venturing in to deep, hypnotic and psychedelic dimensions I explore the yin/yang of techno; sharing a palette of energies to let go and dive in to the rhythms and space of the present moment. 

Kepa is the alias of me, Josie, hailing from the artistic hub of Gothenburg, Sweden. At an early age, I have been influenced by dance and trance music as I've traveled and lived across the globe. I share my love for tunes that are curated to invite you on a journey. 

I debuted with Kepa at the classic space called Technotunneln in 2020 in Gothenburg and has since played at underground parties, Burns, bars, festivals, podcasts and radio - locally and internationally - like Technovember, Skogsgläntan, Ghost, Cellar Door, Liquid Moon, Organica, Rotbrand, Boaterland, Ivans Pilsnerbar, The Underground, Westland Norway and more.

Prior to the birth of Kepa, I started the Earth M project, which focuses on the dark/forest dimensions of psytrance. I debuted with this project with the Catalyst and Altered Visions in Malaysia; to find myself playing across Malaysia and at the Magic Mountain festival in Thailand. You may see me pop up with this project here and there.
