Johnson is a lo-fi indie guitarist , singer-songwriter from the North East of England, known for his atmospheric soundscapes and intimate melodies. Supported by ABUS MUSIC, he records under various guises, including Johnson, Johnson and The Phantom Ramms, and Abus Soundscapes, which can all be found on Soundcloud.

His latest project, Within, Without (2024), offers brand-new tracks that explore themes of introspection, blending raw lo-fi textures with hauntingly melodic elements. 

Past collaborations include The Middle Of Life with UK singer songwriter  Brian Peters  and Brazilian artist John Alberto Moraes. The latter collaboration  resulting in the Departures EP.

Johnson's previous EP, Singing to Rooks (2016), is available on Bandcamp and continues to resonate with fans of indie and lo-fi guitar music. The EP  can also be found on YouTube and other music platforms like Spotify and Amazon Muisc. 

Chosen as Soundclouder of the Day, his  “smooth, complex, and melodic,” Johnson’s instrumental work on Crossing the River' highlights his intricate guitar style.

Not too long back I met a fellow musician, a thoroughly nice chap. His name is Johnson Ramm. You know the feeling you get when you've found something new and original and you want to keep it to yourself but you can't help it and you have to shout it from the rooftops and say "This guy is amazing!!"
