It’s August and Summer is in full swing. This month’s Makoom’s Menagerie celebrates the release of my Adrift EP on White Soho. Both tracks receive a spin and there are loads of other tunes as we tour the music that I’m enjoying right now. In gig news, I played a special outdoor sunset show in Austin last month that you may get a chance to watch on YouTube soon! I also played a gig at Neon Grotto in Austin that raised money for Central Texas Flood Relief and I am proud of all the people who came out and contributed. DJ Elder Torres conhece bem a cena eletrônica que se modificou por estes mais de 20 anos. Já foi Técnico de Áudio Profissional, trabalhou em diversos estúdios e com artistas consagrados da música sertaneja entre outros.  Com a música e a carreira de DJ conseguiu se formar em Direito e iniciou a carreira de Advogado em 2015 no qual ajuda diversos artistas com a legislação trabalhista e musical (direitos autorais e entre outros). VABU has been shaping the sound of Hamburg’s Techno scene since 2017, moving from the dance floor to the DJ booth with unmistakable energy and presence. Her musical journey began at Bollwerk in Lübeck, where her first sets quickly led to a deeper involvement in the local scene through the collective 'Harmonie im Bassgewitter'.

Her signature style is a dynamic blend of Melodic House & Techno, Tech House, and Indie Dance – layered with deep melodies, driving rhythms, and an emotional edge that resonates on and off the floor. Each set tells a story, combining intensity and atmosphere with an intuitive feel for the crowd.

Over the years, VABU has played in clubs across Hamburg and beyond, building a strong reputation on lineups across Germany. She has performed at renowned festivals including Feel Festival, Habitat, Deichbrand and Pangea, and has also taken her sound international, touring Asia twice (April 2019 & February 2020).

In 2024, she marked a new milestone in her career as a producer with her track “Space Division”, released on the 'Perspectives Digital' compilation.

Kevin is a veteran DJ and producer with a career spanning three decades in the electronic music scene. He emerged from the vibrant underground rave culture of early 2000s Saint Louis, Missouri. At 19, he got his first major break opening for George Acosta at the legendary Velvet Nightclub.

Shortly after, Kevin moved to North Miami Beach to study audio engineering at SAE Institute, building the technical skills that would fuel his work both onstage and in the studio.

Upon returning to Saint Louis, Kevin secured residencies at iconic venues like Dante’s and the now-legendary Europe Nightclub. During this time, he also worked as a recording engineer for artists including the St. Lunatics, Nelly, and Avery Storm. His live performances included opening for world-renowned acts such as Deadmau5, Sasha & Digweed, Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten, Satoshi Tomiie, Bassnectar, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Junkie XL, George Acosta, and many others.

His reach expanded across Midwest cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Nashville, playing clubs, raves, and festivals.

Based now in Southeast Asia, Kevin was formerly a resident DJ at Republic Nightclub in Pattaya, Thailand—ranked #90 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs—and continues to make guest appearances there. He recently performed in Angeles City and El Nido, Philippines. With a catalog of previous releases and remixes, and new projects underway, Kevin’s journey continues to evolve on a global scale.

DJ-Producer and globally successful sneaker designer with 18 years of experience collaborating with top-tier brands. His career has taken him around the world, connecting him deeply with the electronic music scene and shaping his refined taste as a selector.

IMALGI made his production debut in 2022 with his first single “Silka”, However, his standout moment arrived with “Kickboxer”, a powerful collaboration with Henry Saiz, featured on the acclaimed Balance 032 compilation and supported by some of the biggest DJs in the scene.

As a DJ, IMALGI has toured internationally alongside Henry Saiz, opening shows in Argentina and delivering unforgettable afterparty sets in the UK. Known for his seamless genre-blending transitions and fresh take on 90s influences, IMALGI combines technical precision with a distinctive sonic identity. With access to exclusive, unreleased material and an ever-evolving approach, IMALGI is establishing his place as a rising talent in the melodic club music industry.
