lim.radio  10! In der zehnten Ausgabe übernimmt Simon Carney die Decks. Er ist im Lim-Kosmos kein unbekannter und hat schon oft mit seinen bunten Vinyl-Sets überzeugt. Neben dem Auflegen sammelt er leidenschaftlich Platten und bringt diese Fundstücke direkt mit in seine Sets. Musikalisch ist Simon in Richtung House und Minimal zu verorten.

The days drift by in Bogotá, and my mind keeps begging for an escape. Office life, accumulation, the quiet worship of productivity, none of it can be the ideal we’re meant to aspire to. The city turns grey, predictable, almost numbing, and yet we’re expected to move through it as if half-asleep.

But some of us refuse. Some of us stay awake. And in that wakefulness there’s a small, stubborn spark, subtle, but insistent enough to guide us through the monotony. This set was born from that feeling: a minimal hymn for the ones who stay awake, the ones who sense that consciousness itself is a kind of defiance.

In every beat there’s a quiet rebellion in four-four, a pulse that resists the dullness of the everyday. Techno, here, becomes a small act of survival a way of keeping the mind sharp, the spirit warm, and the body gently aware that life must be lived, not merely endured.
