CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA – ABFAB, Cape Town’s hardest-working rock duo, is set to ignite the 2025 season with their new single, "Tequila Nights," available on all major streaming platforms this Friday, September 26. Described as a vibrant, country-rock party anthem.
 
ABFAB is composed of drummer Sean Styx Nunan and vocalist Lisa Mynx Hugo, and “Tequila nights” features the powerful vocal talents of renowned Cape Town singer Robbie Ferns on backing vocals. ABFAB is a local institution, known for their relentless live performances, often playing four to five nights a week. "Tequila Nights" was born from their desire to add a high-octane, feel-good song to their repertoire—a track specifically crafted for their dedicated fans and the electric atmosphere of their live shows.
 
"We wanted to write a song that’s pure fun, something that gets everyone on their feet and ready to party," says Lisa Mynx Hugo. "It’s a tribute to those great nights out and the amazing energy we feel with our fans."
 
The song captures the essence of a Cape Town summer—full of life, spontaneity, and a whole lot of rock and roll. Its infectious rhythm and sing-along chorus are a perfect addition to any party playlist, marking it as a definite highlight for the upcoming season.
 
"Tequila Nights" was produced by Brad Grobler (Big Productions) and is being released by Lab Records (NL) in the Netherlands, with a simultaneous international release. The band also confirmed that remixes of the track are already in the works.

Leo Joseph is a songwriter whose songs are not defined by a genre.  His songs deal with the emotional side of music that includes love, life and family. 
        Joseph, a former college baseball player attended Allen University (HBCU) in Columbia, South Carolina.  After completing studies at Allen University, Joseph recieved a Bachlors degree in Elementary Education.  
         Joseph was born and raised in Greensboro, Georgia (Lake Country) and developed a love for music at an early age. His journey began when he was a member of the Rev.  Anthony J. Carroll Youth Choir  at New Springfield Baptist Church in Siloam Georgia.  When his parents  weren't listening to gospel music Joseph would sneak and listen to  JAMES BROWN, CHARLIE PRIDE  AND MUDDY WATERS.  Joseph connection with the three artist dig deep into his up bringing. Joseph and Muddy Waters share the same birthday month (April). He and Charlie Pride shared a love for the game of baseball and James Brown (THE GODFATHER OF SOUL)  share the name Joseph, which is James Brown middle name.
         Joseph  Graduated from Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High school.  He was a three sport athlete and his love for music never faded. He learned to appreciate all genres of music from Rap to  Country  and everything in between. Joseph is a registered song writer and feels at home in his new lane because EVERY SONG HAS A STORY!!!

I create and produce all my music with  a guitar and keyboard. I Love Reggae and the Social messages it  conveys. I also enjoy playing Rock and Blues. . Music with a Positive Message is my Religion.  I strive for truth and justice in my songs. Remember you weren’t born to conform! Peace

🎵 Music has been a part of my life since early childhood. Inspired by my father, I started playing the accordion at a young age and soon discovered my love for composing. Encouraged by my teacher, I attended music school for several years, which helped deepen my understanding of melody and harmony.

As a teenager, I began writing my own songs and taught myself to play the piano – driven by passion and curiosity rather than formal rules.

Over the years, I’ve drawn inspiration from a wide range of genres: pop, rock, soul, funk, but also classical, Latin, and folk music. I never limited myself to just one style – for me, music is about emotion, connection, and expression, not categories.

For a long time, I lacked the technical equipment to bring my ideas to life. But now, with every beat, chord, and lyric, I’m finally sharing my musical world with you.
