Separating are the lions from the calf, 
For our soul, Zion, the missing half.  
 
Don’t weep – the world is rising against us. 
Let Edom’s raging dogs yet bark and lurk. 
Weep for the struggle - thousands of years, 
Land of Zion and Jerusalem, and our tears. 
It’s not a dream; just say you wanted it. 
Don’t you already know? Can’t you feel it?  
Lately, the layers of time switching a bit.  
 
Their hearts never understand our passion. 
They were content to hate us again - so, 
shelanu, they rebuke us for what we are. 
Since they never understood our loyalty, 
 our respect for ourselves and our people.

And united until men's eternity.

So, let the world turn against the lion.  
Our house is claiming the birthright of Zion, 
They say, and always they did, you are blamed, 
In proud, better hated but Eretz not inflamed. 
Thus, let the world walk their path in pride,  
 
Our spirits crossed Yarden to the other side.  
Let the elements forever shaken, 
And shall be trembling mankind and the earth, 
Our right and strength is preserved with our birth. 
In our ancestors’ name, we will succeed. 
Yarden’s crossing, our destiny to proceed. 
Eretz and Mount Zion and the Promised Land, 
 
the Golden City, shelanu, is unique - 
and our divine passion at its peak, 
the City of Gold, keep it and hold. 
A new evening, a new morning in Zion,

The descendant of Judah is coming! 
Hear it! shelanu, the Lion is roaring!  
 
On behalf of all those who have gone, promise!
