A 60-minute journey through the depths of hypnotic techno, exploring the darker, more introspective corners of the genre. This set weaves together tracks from respected artists and labels that define the current state of deep, groovy techno.

The journey begins with Ignez's "Passion Overdrive" from Rødhåd's acclaimed Solara Melfera compilation, setting the tone with its shamanic rhythms and deep atmospheric layers. The set progresses through carefully selected tracks from Linear System, whose Costa Rican-produced hypnotic techno has garnered support from Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, and Oscar Mulero. Reece Pritchard's White Concept EP features prominently, representing the current wave of precise, clinical techno production.

This recording captures the essence of contemporary underground techno - tracks that build tension through repetition, create hypnotic states through subtle variation, and maintain the groove that keeps bodies moving on the dancefloor. Each selection was chosen for its ability to contribute to a cohesive sonic narrative that explores the space between driving rhythms and meditative states.

BYRD is a San Diego-based DJ and producer with over a decade behind the decks and a fast-growing presence in the global techno scene. Known for his high-energy sets and sharp selection, BYRD has been releasing music since 2020, blending deep emotion with driving, club-ready grooves.

In 2024 alone, BYRD released over 10 tracks across respected labels, gaining support from melodic and peak-time techno tastemakers around the world. With four new tracks dropping soon on labels like Polyptych, Zalmanim, and TERMENL, his momentum shows no signs of slowing.

He’s also the founder and host of Fresh Press, a monthly San Diego techno event that champions new talent, harder sounds, and immersive dancefloor experiences.
