When I was a boy my father took us on a trip 
And before we left he told us to be sure we drained our snakes 
He said, “Once we hit the road boys don’t you give me any lip
We’re not stopping till we get there, we’ve no time for bathroom breaks 

And of course, I didn’t listen cause I didn’t have to go then 
And we all climbed in the car and driving toward the interstate 
Now I wished I would’ve listened to him but I didn’t know then 
How urgently I’d have to pee but would be forced to wait 

We’d gone perhaps 10 miles when my bladder starts complaining 
And I cried out from the back seat “Dad how long before we get there?”   
My bladder on the verge of overflowing needed draining 
Dad said, “just about an hour son, behave yourself and sit there”   

So I thought” I either pee my pants or tame my swollen bladder”. 
And I tried to think of other things to trick my addled brain 
Its really just a case of mind manipulating matter 
Try not to think of waterfalls or pouring summer rain!  

On an intersecting highway where the interstate connects it 
There are restaurants and stations and all with toilets white and shiny 
I cried, “dad if you need gas then you should take the coming exit” 
But he drove past it and I watched it in the distance growing tiny 

I cried, “Dad I’m very sorry but I need to find a toilet 
He shot back “I told you boys before we left, you didn’t do it!”  
Your mom planned this birthday party, if we’re late we’re gonna spoil it 
We’re not stoppin till we get there, just hold on we’re almost to it 

And so I thought, “i’ll pee a little just to ease my bladder choking 
And I didn’t want my mother’s birthday party to to be spoiled 
But a river soon ensued that had my jeans and car seat soaking 
If you’re not stoppin till you get there, when you get there you’ll be soiled
